Augmentin is a penicillin antibiotic.
ingredients found in augmentin contains a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium. Amoxicillin is an antibiotic in a troop of drugs called penicillins. Amoxicillin fights bacteria in the body.
Clavulanate potassium is a construction of clavulanic acid. It is hand-me-down to break stubbornness in bacteria that leak beta-lactamase, thereby counteracting doable bacterial partisans to the amoxicillin.
Augmentin is open-minded of to criticize miscellaneous assorted infections caused via bacteria, such as sinusitis, pneumonia, regard infections, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, and infections of the skin.
