Just contact Grosseschnauzer. While there are a total of five Nations involved (the Union of Schnauzer Dominions is a region with three nations), under the arrangements that have put in place, Grosseschnauzer is the nation with UN Membership and coordinates for the others. But all five can be reached through the NationStates telegram if needed.

Having just taken over the job of regional delegate for the Empire of Diesel I now feel that I can lend you more support within the region. There are several enthusiastic nations which might want to be involved.

What does being a member involve? And how does one become one?

In reality ... it involves just saying that somebody in your nation has set up a UNA chapter. In practice I would assume that for a national chapter to be in good standing with the international organization, the majority of the other chapters would need to feel that the UNA chapter in question promotes and believes in the basic ideals of the NS United Nations. Of course, this doesn't mean that a fraction of a national chapter can't have an international reputation for being critical of the UN or its members, case in point the United States of America. There are Americans that like the UN, and others that absolutely hate it. Just because conservatives will talk (publically) against the UN, doesn't mean that other real world UNA chapters hold any grudge against UNA-USA. So basically, it is more a roleplaying thing. Everybody who has signed up on the UNO forums, is a nation that I've seen at one point in time try to work with other nations to promote the general ideas of the UN ... but I'm sure that some day some anti-UN nation may find its way here. Fortunately, the UNA has a small pond factor working right now. Naturally I'd love it if you decided there is a Gwenstefani chapter of the UNA. I would imagine that this would mean (in roleplaying terms) that people in your nation would be leaning towards stronger support of the UN and that on a _national_ level that the Gwenstefani-UNA chapter might host national level debates about international affairs and lobby your government to continue to promote global activity.

The Grand Duchy of YGSM has recently been notified that a local Business Improvement District in the diplomat's quarter of our capital has approved funding for a local chapter of UNA.

Gwenstefani would also like to announce the founding of the Gwenstefani-UNA chapter. To commemorate this, our government has introduced Model UN role-playing situations into the national high-school curriculum. Gwenstefani is very pro-UN, and has been active within it since the birth of our nation. We even got a proposal passed, don't you know

The Mislabelled Unlicensed Trunk of Powerhungry Chipmunks wishes to announce that approximately 3,250 square feet of office space on the 6th floor of the Orlandy Government Complex in Palenth has been set aside for the newly founded Powerhungry Chipmunks National Chapter of the UNA.
(OOC: Even though I've been taking advantage of the UNA's services for quite some time already--those 'pdf's are really good!)
