Vastiva has recently decreed the reorganization of the Humanitarian Intervention department of the Ministry of Health and Medicine into the IRCO/Red Globe auspices. Regardless of the leadership of the eventual organization, this organization is funded just over 300 billion USD per annum for charitable humanitarian intervention in any country which requests aid. This does not include military intervention, though the VAS does provide light armored vehicles if required, and does service the C-71 Progeny transport aircraft and MH-609 Pony helicopters used by this organization at no cost to the organization; it also maintains the six Cadecus hospital ships currently under IRCO flag in the region.

The IRCO is allowed to provide for temporary “medical intervention” Visas into Vastiva and it’s territories, though this power is under review.

Sometimes shortened to the "Knights of the Holy Grail" or "Grail Templars," today this is an elite fighting force (reinforced brigade strength, approx. 6,000 personnel) equipped with a transport helicopter battalion (24 helo), medevac helicopters which can handle three to six acute patient litters each (6 helos), fixed wing turboprop transports (12 a/c) capable of airdrops, military police battalion, a modern battlefield hospital battalion and construction company. Many members are ordained ministers capable of serving as chaplains, and trained to deal with trauma and disaster relief.

They formally report to the King as the head of both state and the state religion, but are not considered part of the standing army. They are often called upon during times of natural disaster to deal with trauma, surpress looting, set up temporary shelters and ensure supply lines for other relief organizations remain open. All of their brothers are either bachelor knights, enoathed in feudal service to the order, or for commoners, have taken monastic vows. All have taken vows of poverty, charity, and chastity so long as they remain members of the order.

Historically, their symbol is identical to the Cross of St. George -- the red cross on a white field, the same cross as found on our national flag, or on the symbology of England or the Poor Knights of the Temple (Knights Templar). However, it is locally referred to popularly as the Cross of St. Josephus, or a Mordrain's Cross by the Grail Templars.
