Kai's Parents, In Manga?

The woman behind Kai's grandpa (who incidentally does not go by the name Voltaire in the English manga...Boris Balkov is called Voltaire.) She calls Kai's father "hubby" which I believe is short for husband.

Hmm I wonder why there was no mention of them?Perhaps Kai lives only with his grandfather and doesn't have much contact with his parents or maybe they died in some way. Well I haven't read any Beyblade manga's before so I don't really knows what happens with the whole parent thing.

Not much is said about them. Kai's father choses to make beyblades over staying with his family. He leaves, and this is why Kai hates to beyblade. In the manga, he wants to destroy them, because he blames beyblades for his father abandoning him. Kai's mother, seems to have stayed with him, but she is completely controlled by Kai's grandfather, and allows him to manipulate Kai. Later in the chapter, Kai's father returns and convinces Kai's grandfather to let Kai beyblade instead of running his (the grandfather's) company. At the end of the Kai/parents sequence, Kai's father gives him an updated version of Dranzer (Dranzer V?), and Kai and father seem to have reached an uneasy truce.
