I don't like playing soccer, or really watching it either. But I'm probably gonna watch all the games I can with Italy. Go Italia! (Italy) ^_^

Same goes for me, one reason being if England go out soon the streets won't be filled with loud, drunken morons for longer. There will just be arrests and trouble from sore losers until the whole thing blows over and they have to get back to work. People assume just because I live in this country and am half British I would choose to support England. I don't care for the sport personally and I find it ridiculous how so many people treat a simple game so seriously. These days it's not 'just a game' any more, people spending millions selling 'valuable' people around while that money could be used to support research in developing cures for diseases or building communities for those in poverty. But if I had to choose I would want Germany or Holland to win. Or a team that's never won before. |

I've watched parts of the Poland v. Ecuador game and the Sweden v. Trinidad&Tobago game, (neither too exciting.. I'm a bit upset that I missed the opening game with Germany,) but the ones I'm really anticipating are the Group G matches on Tuesday. :] Korea v. Togo and France v. Switzerland.
Needless to say, I am rooting for Korea, though I doubt that they'll have a repeat performance of their 'miracle' in 2002. Because, well... I really don't think they can beat France.. x__x;; Oh well. The Reds versus Les Bleus should be quite interesting too... But with Germany on home turf, I wouldn't be surprised if they could somehow make it into semis or better.. I kinda don't want Brazil to win again.. Bleh. Americans are just not as interested in Football/Soccer than they are in American Football. So many of the games are broadcasted in the morning or early afternoon on ESPN2.. :( So much for hopes of prime time reruns. |

Yep I been watching it too. Sweden vs T&T was quite fun to watch. it stayed 0-0 but fore T&T were really acting like thay won. And thay have a dutch trainer so it was quite fun to see like he was the big hero. thay got a point.
Ofcours I am fore the Netherlands(Holland) I will watch ther games. Tomorow thay have to play. But I don't think thay will win the cup. Problely Brazil. ofcours if someone els will win it would be more fun. Here its quite nuts about this all. A lot of things are already red, white, blue but most of all orange. And how more thay win how orange it will get. I looking fore the match argitina vs the netherlands fore sure. if the netherlands come out agains germany if would be some kind of wore o__o; it always been that way. |
