Title: Installing Windows And Errors

Tva - June 10, 2008 04:47 PM (GMT)
Have just build a new computer and all was going smoothly up intill going through windows updates for some seeson it seems that trying to install some of the optinal softwar components stop me from installing any other updates at all.

Also I am now getting Two errors at start up they are.

"RunDll32.exe _entry point not found
The procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link libary msvcrt.dll"

and

"RUNDLL
Error loading p17RunE.dll
The specified procedure could not be found"

Apart from these two sysptions ie the error messages and the inablity to install windows updates there are no other symptoms and everything seems to run ok (though havent tryed much) that is apart from Black&White 2 if anyone knows it the screen hands then just goes black just after the've shown you the gold scroll in the tutorial.

Any Ideas/ help would be aprecated. Feel free to post here or pm me.

Must turn on Fast Reply in this forum.

Ok! First problem, think I found a solution for you:

Also regarding Black and White 2, I had the same problem and I think I fixed it finally by updating my graphics card drivers. Don't get them off Windows Update though, head over to the appropriate site (nVidia etc) to get them. Usually has better instructions!

Thanks for the help I havent put the sugestions into action just yet but It looks like it will sort things out. (Makes note that Ty Kamara is a lot better than the wondows help page)

As for black and white I've now got that working thanks Elisa I went lookingfor drivers again and found some others about, it took 10 hours to dl and has wiped the drivers for my sound card the motherboeard off the system but they where easy enough to put back on and it works fine now.

Ouch, a 10 hour download?! Painful x_X; Glad you got your game working! It's a great game, so hope you enjoy it!

Hope the other link'll help you get the other problems sorted out.
