Title: Beyblade 4th Season?

Lemon M. - May 13, 2007 02:32 PM (GMT)
This is something I've only heard slightly about, but it's pretty recent and updated.

Murokulho's youtube page. is by far the only place I've read about it that seems midly promissing, though I'm not sure if I should get my hopes up.

What would you guys say?

Kai-V - May 13, 2007 08:04 PM (GMT)
Would Aoki Takao really let someone who works for him upload so many Beyblade episodes.

Kuznetsov - May 13, 2007 08:24 PM (GMT)
BB3 Project workers from Finland, because they are so common. Especially ones that warehouse episodes for free...

How about NO?

Never trust anybody who ganks fanart for their page.

I really hope this is true. I will keep checking Japanese websites for more official hints.

Hey that's pretty exciting news! That'd sure liven up the community again! ^^

and will improve the new tops by making them out of metal instead of plastic.

That worries me though! I had a bit of a Beyblading accident a few weeks ago and the bruises have only just gone away! And that was a plastic top! Metal ones would really hurt D:

God, I know. oo;

Anyway, that sounds like some exciting news, but it's best we trust Japanese hints and such; we have no REAL idea about this yet. It'll make people wonder though: will Tyson and the G Revolutions / Bladebreakers return, or will it be on the second generation? Their children, and whatnot.

Punk - April 8, 2008 10:28 PM (GMT)
I'll keep an eye out for anymore news on this. It's interesting.

King of Darkness - April 9, 2008 07:55 PM (GMT)
Looking forward to this. Hope there'll be some cool new beys, although I really doubt the real ones will be fully made of metal.

Elisa - April 9, 2008 07:59 PM (GMT)
I imagine they'd be really heavy if they were fully metal. THen again they could use some lighter alloys I suppose. I'm certainly interested to see what they come up with both the blades and the show itself!

That is, if it's true! We'll have to wait and see :)

Raineth - April 11, 2008 09:32 PM (GMT)
This is great! I can't wait to see the anime because that means I'll have more material to make AMVs with. But I'll have to get a new computer first.

I don't think I'll be buying any Beyblades since I don't really play anymore nor have the time to. But it's great to see Beyblade coming back.

If they make them like the MS series, then were OK, as those were reasonably light, and not fully metal.

Hey guys

I thinks the 4th season is really true, as you said it's going to air this summer. I read it in one of the portuguese anime news site.

Metatron - April 13, 2008 12:04 PM (GMT)
Since they're saying it's gonna air this summer, the company must have been really secretly working on it, or something. No leak, or hint of anything, until now.

Souryuuha - April 15, 2008 06:24 AM (GMT)
This is suppose to release in summer of 2009 right?

At first I was thinking it was summer of 08... xD; but nah, thats too soon.

Anyhoo, I freaked when I heard this.
;~; I'm so happy... xDD

EDIT: -read the post above mine-
OMG IT WAS 08! o__o

-dies-

Awesome..

Elisa - April 15, 2008 06:04 PM (GMT)
I would assume if it is airing this year, it'll be in Japan. So it'll be a while for it to be officially dubbed and aired elsewere.

Aaah, that makes more sense. So it will probably air in Europe and America, next year ... maybe two years.

King of Darkness - April 15, 2008 07:55 PM (GMT)
I hope they don't do anything messed up like that new "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds" piece of crud and ruin the series...

Reiven - April 18, 2008 02:23 AM (GMT)
To be honest, I do want and anticipate a new season with the old characters. But recent run-ins with bad sequels, coupled with the fact that G-Rev ended brilliantly and on a high note, I find myself skeptical as to whether the new anime with live up to our expectations.

Really, after V-Force, there was not really any lower they could get in terms of quality and yet G-Revolution was at the peak when it came to that; plot and character design wise.

But this sequel (having been through a rough patch with the recent suckage of Skins 2), could go either way. It could be brilliant, or it could be awful. And if you want to take it by just how much anime sequels have let their fans down in the past, I'm seeing the latter more prominently of the two possibilities.

So that said, while I do want to see my old favourites back in action, I see a lot more possibility for not being let down by having new characters. Let the oldies remain in their peak position after their awesome performance in G-Rev.

Raineth - April 18, 2008 09:39 PM (GMT)
I'm banking that the characters are going to be completely new (maybe an odd oldie or two).

Reason being is that G Revolution ended in 2004 in Japan and around 2005 in North America, as far as I can remember and any new viewers of the new anime won't know who they are. A second reason would be that those characters are already plotted out and used up. I don't think they could go much further with them without reusing old themes.

If old characters are ever referred to, it'll probably be like something off of Digimon.

Larxene - April 27, 2008 02:09 PM (GMT)
If they do decide not to reuse the old characters (as Raineth said, they're all plotted and used up), then what about a second generation thing? Like digimon, except with their kids? That makes sense to me.

Kuznetsov - April 27, 2008 09:19 PM (GMT)
They already have created second generation characters that only got used in a special part of the manga. I'd personally like to see Kai, Tyson and Rei's children Gou, Makoto and Rin in the new anime series, but I wouldn't mind seeing new characters so long as they aren't bad take-offs.

Yeah, that's probably true..

>_>;

But I'm not sitting around and waiting to see the dub, I'm just gonna watch em online..

& as for the characters, I highly doubt the old characters are coming back. If they do, it'd be cool.. but at the same time, I wanna see something new.

As long as they don't launch beyblades off of motorbikes, I'll be happy.. ==;

Kyeldra - May 4, 2008 08:35 AM (GMT)
I decide to take a look at this forum again out on a whim, and...

What in the WORLD? o_o Guess I got a lot more than I bargained for. XD

Can't say I'm a fanatic anymore, but I'll definitely keep my eyes open and see what happens. It should be interesting to see what they do, I suppose. ;)

I was searching casually on Wikipedia about Beyblade when my eyes caught the subtitle Season 4 (2008) and I was so outstanded!!

Anime News Network has recently announced that Tomy Takara has renewed Beyblade for a fourth season.

Season Four (2008)

The April 8 issue of the Nihon Keizai (Nikkei) Shimbun paper reports that Takara-Tomy is reviving the Beyblade spinning-top game franchise after a four-year hiatus this August, and will sponsor a new accompanying Beyblade anime this summer. Takara-Tomy is aiming for 20 billion yen (about US$200 million) in yearly revenue by next year, and will improve the new tops by making them out of metal instead of plastic.

Takara-Tomy launched the game franchise in 1999, and sponsored three anime series between 2001 and 2003: Bakuten Shoot Beyblade, Bakuten Shoot Beyblade 2002 (Beyblade V-Force), and Bakuten Shoot Beyblade G-Revolution. Nelvana (Bakugan, Medabots) released all three in the United States, with the last new episode airing in 2005. Viz Media released Takao Aoki's manga spinoff, although a new manga series has yet to be announced.

Interesting... I honestly didn't think there would be a fourth season, although I hoped. Now I'm curious how it'll be. Can't wait for it to start airing.

Vergil - May 5, 2008 05:48 AM (GMT)
Wow, this is a surprise. o_O I thought G Rev was the final season. I'm happy to hear that there's gonna be a new season. ^^ I'd like to see past characters return as well as some fresh new faces. Would be cool. ^^ Hope we get to see Brooklyn and Hiro again. <3 Oh and Zeo! I wanna see Zeo! ^^

Ah the good old Beyblade days. ^^ I still have my Beyblades. They're packed away somewhere in my cupboard. Heh heh.

sweetpikachu - May 6, 2008 06:57 AM (GMT)
Woahh, a season 4 is really coming out?! My friend was telling me about rumors, but I guess it's really coming, lol. I'm not that crazy about Beyblade anymore, but I'll check it out when they release it.

It's really weird that a new season is coming out though. I check back to this forum randomly, and this information pops up. xD

Metal Fight Beyblade (2008)
The fourth season of Beyblade anime series, it is set many years later and set in the same era as the manga epilogue. The sport of Beyblade has upgraded; its beyblades becoming metal-based, and newer and more unique forms of Bit-Beasts being discovered and harnessed by only the most power-hungry of bladers. This spells trouble for the world at large, as soon evil forces, harnessing the power of these new Bit-Beasts, begin their quest for world domination, and it is down to the Bladebreakers to reunite and combat them. But this time, they are aided by their children...
The series is set to premiere on August 9, 2008 in Japan.

Pasted from Wikipedia.

*Shrugs* Don't know if it's true, but if it is, what do y'all think?

This is almost completely false. The only truth about this is the fact that the beyblades are made of metal.

The new season is not even set to be broadcast in Japan in August. It will be aired in January.

No information has officially been revealed about the anime's story, and the fact that this summary revolves around Bit Beasts is proof that it is a fan-made story.
We also do not know if it will depict the story of characters several years after Beyblade G Revolution.
The "Bladebreakers" will probably not even appear in this new series though, nor will their kids.

Wow, this is certainly very interesting. I only learnt this today...I guess i should pay more attention to the news.

Its been a long time...I can't wait for the new series.

(There already are Beyblades made of metal)..
Maybe they'll only make the beyblades... I don't believe in it before it's really official.
So.. I still think it's rumors.

Though, I hope not... (:

*sighs* i don't really know what to think of a "4th" season to be honest. I mean are they going to pick new characters or are they going to keep chewing the same gum all over again? Dunno i am a bit curious since it has been quite a long time since we heard about the show but i wonder, if they're going to improve or not still i will be looking forward to it

They are very likely to create new characters.

As far as we know, the new season will be "street style".
You can check TAKARA-TOMY's website for clues : http://www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/beyblade/

I do not know what schedule you checked; hopefully it was Japanese/TV-Tokyo.

Furthermore, as I mentioned earlier in this thread, "The new season is not even set to be broadcast in Japan in August. It will be aired in January."
