Hogsmeade Shenanigans, Kit and Merc!

Merc burst through the trapdoor. He hauled himself out with his arms, and landed on the dusty stone floor of what appeared to be an abandoned shack. He had, of course used this passage many times in the past with Rod, so he knew his way around.
He got off the floor and looked out of the cracked windowpane. Judging by his skills at reading the time from the passage of the sun, which weren't all that reliable, he judged it was around 2 o'clock in the afternoon. It had taken them a suprising amount of time to get here. Remembering Kit was still stuck on the ladder, he went over and hauled her up.
"Don't squirm or I'll drop you."

"Oh, how becoming of you," Kit muttered as he helped her out of the hole. "You should keep that up, you know. Girls really go for the masculine attitude..." she stood up brushing bits of dust off her shirt. She looked at her watch. "We would have got here faster, if it wasn't for you and your little... episode," she commented, then looked out the window. "Shall we go down?" Kit had also been through the passage numerous times, so she knew it was situated on one of the surrounding hills.

"What?" Merc asked puzzled. "I just didn't want to drop you down that hole! Before Rod and I installed the ladder, well, let's just say it was a kerfuffle getting him to the hospital wing from here.."
He nodded in assent and grinned broadly. "Just down and left and we're in Hogsmeade...finally! Wait, how did you know of the passage?"

[Tamare]

"Because I've been through it before, savvy?" Kit rolled her eyes and looked out the window. "Come on, we may as well go, if that bump on your head hasn't addled your brain."

OOC: apologes. Having a block.

Merc looked shocked. "But this was our top secret passageway! How did you...oh never mind. I'll buy you a butterbeer if you tell me. First let us leave this musty shack!" He whistled as he led the way out. Trying the door handle, it came off into his hand. "Err.."
Merc shoved the handleless door, and it gave way. He stepped outside, grinning back at Kit. "We hath arrived."

ooc: meh.

[Tamare]

Kit smiled like a lovesick court lady. "Oh, you're so strong Mercutio, and so brave! However did you muster the courage to open that disgusting door?" She fanned herself with her t-shirt, then decided the act was too much trouble.

"Come on Merc, we have the whole of Hogsmeade to explore!" Kit yelled as she ran out of the shack.

Merc followed Kit out of the shack covering the secret (well perhaps not so secret as they had thought) passageway. He caught up with Kit and slung an arm around her shoulders in a comradely manner. "What shall we do first Kittles?" He asked cheerfully.

[Tamare]

"Well, I don't know about you, but I need a fresh supply of dungbombs..." Kit replied in an equally cheerful manner. She slung her arm over his shoulder so they were locked in. "How about you? Got any mischevious orders coming in to Dervish and Banges?"

OOC: Not sure how to spell it...

ooc: meh, it looks right anyhow!

"Well actually," Merc said cheerfully as they entered the village. "Dervish said he should have my order ready by next week. A rather large and illegal amount of dungbombs await.." He quickly added. "And only illegal by Hogwarts standards mind you, only allowed one hundred! That's much too strict."
He grinned gleefully at the thought of bombarding people he didn't like with them.
"Did you bring any money?" He asked, jingling his pocket full of coins. "How about a butterbeer Kitkat?"

[Tamare]

"So what, birds aren't allowed to drink firewhisky?" Kit asked, with her best bogan-Australian accent. "Yes, of course I brought money," she rolled her eyes. "And I am definitely in the mood for a butterbeer on this cold Autumn day...."

"Oh, Mercky, they are much too tough, aren't they? Surely we're going to use more than 100 dungbombs between now and the next months we go to Hogsmeade, no?" she sighed for effect.

[Shenavyre]

"Well that's what the secret passageway is for Kittles! To be extremely cheesy, I quote 'desperate times call for desperate measures..'"

They had reached the village by this time. Merc led the way to the nearest cafe. It was a little separate of Hogsmeade which was good, because then there was less chance of running in to school authorities. He had never been there before but went inside. There were only a few people there at the moment, getting ahead of the afternoon rush.
A middle-aged witch with wild, russet-hair manned the cafe. She was currently engrossed in wiping the counter-top with some ferocity.
Merc walked straight up to her.
She continued her cleaning. Merc began to hum. Her head snapped up, scowling, at a grinning Merc. She put her hands on her hip, eyeing him sharply.
"Well! What'll it be then?"
Merc considered for a moment before answering with a wink,"Two of your finest butterbeers my good woman!"
The woman sighed heavily, as if he deliberately chose to cause her trouble. She turned around to the fridge, and pulled out two bottles. "They only come in bottles," she said sniffing. "Seven sickles."
Merc placed the appropriate coins in her hand and left with their beverages...

[Tamare]

"Thanks," Kit took a butterbeer off Merc. "Are we going to sit down, or walk back along the street?" she asked, popping the top off the bottle and taking a swig. "I have to pay you back too."

OOC: Meh.

Merc waved a dismissive hand. "Don't worry about paying me back, you can provide liquid sustenance for me next illegal Hogsmeade trip, eh?" He said winking. For, indeed, there would most certainly be more illegal outings to look forward to. He unscrewed the cap deftly and clinked the bottles together. "Cheers Kit!" Merc took a mouthful, sighing appreciatively(sp?) when he was done. "How about we walk as we drink?" He suggested, Merc didn't really like to sit still.

[Tamare]

"Jolly-o."

Kit pushed open the door and stepped out into the chilly autumn air, holding it open for Merc as he passed through. She closed it after him and took a sip of butterbeer, enjoying it's malty taste. "Where shall we go first, dear Mercutio, for the whole of Hogsmeade yearns for our footsteps," she said, hoping it sounded as profound as it has when she had thought it up.

OOC: yeah, that last sentence so didn't make sense!

"Wherever fate takes us, dear Katherine!" Merc replied, using her exact tone.
They strolled along the main lane, which looked rather quaint, as if out of a picture book. Merc took another swig of butterbeer, before turning to Kit, and asking, spur of the moment,
"Kittles, would you come to the ball with me?" Hey, at least she would be fun, Merc thought. He grinned. "Since the teachers said we have to go, and all.."
