THE W I N D S OF C-H-A-N-G-E
The winds of change strike up a symphonic gale that caresses the strong stone walls of Hogwarts. It seems these hallowed walls can keep out monsters, dragons and Dark Lords, but it cannot keep out nightmares. The Dark Lord has fallen into hiding for the moment. Daily Prophet reporters dig nothing up in regards to his location. Witches and wizards whose families had been terrorized by the Death Eaters find themselves suddenly at peace, and those who so smugly and openly delcared alleigance to the Dark when the Dark Lord was strong find themselves suddenly prosecuted when the danger is not within immediate sight. The magical world finds itself stepping out into the quiet streets of peace, sweet and sympathetic to past troubles. The wizardring earth discovers it is now in the gentle comfort of security's embrace, sleeping soundly and quietly during long nights when previously they'd be half-awake, listening for the telltale footsteps that might be the death of their children. But perhaps it is this false invunerablity that could be the downfall of the earth. Now that there is peace, wizards are careless. The Dark Lord has given up, rumors dictate, he's out of our hair, his henchmen have disappeared into the horizon to suffer for their deeds. We forget that the losses are still being mourned, that plots are still forming. In the shadows, the Dark Lord waits, secluded. Conspiracies are happening. Alliances are built. But not to swear revenge on the world that so pushed him out. Not to declare claim out of a world that could be his at the tap of his finger. He lies in wait for the day of action, because his powers are being challenged. IT'S B I G AND H E A V Y AND IT MUST BE {EVIL} The year is 1999, two years after Harry Potter graduated. He has also disappeared, much to the chargrin of the magical population. Hermione Granger and the entirety of the Weasley family have gone with him, save for Ginny and Percy who work important Ministry positions. Hogwarts has thrown its doors wide open, advocating itself as a haven for those who have been affected by the war, serving as a beacon that beams all is clear. But when you open your doors to the good, evil is going to slip in no matter how well you guard it. Slytherins are in for a tough time at Hogwarts. Once, they were respected by the Ravenclaws and the Hufflepuffs, and at least acknowledged by the Gryffindors. But many are now facing accusations. Were your parents on the Dark side? Were you on the Dark side? Did you support Voldemort? Why should we trust you? In the minds of the wizardring world, all is well. And in the shadows of rural farmhouses and dank forests, two Dark Lords silently compete for the title... RIVALRY IN P A R A D I S E The tables in the Great Hall are separated. The Slytherins are amidst a sea of questioning by the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs, while the members of the Ravenclaw House are split in the rush to form alliance with one or the other. Will you be among those hounded by the rest of the school? Will you be one that regards all else untrustworthy? Will you be among those struggling for footing in the rushing river of allegiance? To all else, Hogwarts is a beacon. Inside, the stone walls that masquerade as a barrier act as a prison to all those who know what happens inside. A D.E.A.T.H IN THE >>FAMILY The Golden Trio have disappeared. However, as is the nature of missing persons, the missing individual knows exactly where he or she has gone. And Harry Potter, Ron Weasly and Hermione Granger know exactly where they have gone. And why. Late at night, when the brisk storms that bear change throw violent gales against the walls, the Order of the Phoenix meets in secret. Their strategy is no longer offensive. Their goal is no longer to conquer Voldemort's reign. They no longer fight for justice in the wizardring world. They fight for their lives, and the lives of those who are too weak to protect it themselves. So the three lead a new generation of the Order of the Phoenix. Like the great mythical bird, the organization has long since burned to ashes, but it is once again undergoing the process of ressurection. Harry Potter et al are desperately recruiting sixth and seventh years brave enough to join, as well as any graduated adult who sees the corruption of the Ministry of Magic. With the location of their headquarters no longer safe from the Death Eaters' piercing gaze, they meet at the dead of night in the one place that still stands strong. Hogwarts. Their mission? To protect the students. Their goal? To stay alive. The success rate of these two objectives is still unclear. -------------------- ![]() |
