Just some sub-plots that are post 7th book... so all who are dead, stay dead! (Except Moony, Moony's figured out how to bring him back...)

The main plot is that the Muggles have figured out about the Wizarding World, you can create plots that do with this... ((ex. Check out OPENED FOR FOREVER!!!))

Yay! ok. we don't want any major revealings, because there's nothing left to do after that. only a few chosen muggles, if you want.
how to explain rowling.
dumbledore/mcgonagall/somebody bewitched her into thinking she made it all up.
dumbledore told her to do it.
she somehow found out and published without the ministry's knowledge.
is she witch or muggle?

this way, we can really change whatever we want except for these things:

early deaths (ie, pre the middle of book seven. no bringing back mad-eye, not that anyone would really want to. dobby is fine, but not wormtail.)

harry potter is real in this world, so there is no way jkr got everything right. not every scene, dialogue. some characters in the book could be composite characters of "real" people in the books (ie remus is a composite character of himself and tonks' husband). this could leave a lot of room for invention.

let's see... the main pairings at the end of the books (the epilogue) are all correct. (the only thing is Teddy Lupin isn't Teddy Lupin, but Teddy something else.

This is set maybe four-five months after Voldy's downfall, so Teddy is still a baby. So nobody bother making him yet.

yes that's what i thought. here's the story.
Jkr was poor and desperate for money (this is the truth). dumbledore was concocting the scheme of hiding the magical world in plain sight, where he thought it would be safer (conterintuitive, but true.). he planned on creating the harry potter books, making them so big, that the entire world would know his name. this way, muggles could be given a taste of the magical world and maybe the gap between them would be gone some day. this was the first step. until then, however, the magical cummonuity could remain hidden. talking about wizarding things in public would now be possible. muggles that overheard would think that the wizards were just over-enthusiastic harry potter fans. the scheme was brilliant, he just needed someone to execute it.

he saw jkrowling walking in the street one day and was intrigued by her. he followed her and studied her and realized that she would be perfect. one day, jkr boarded a train to visit her boyfriend (this it true), and he followed her and sat next to her, and quietly planted the idea of harry potter in her head.

jkr got started on the book the second the spell had taken hold. she got out a pen and paper and began scribbling things down about the wizarding world and a boy who had lost his parents to voldemort and would be starting at a school called hogwats. she worked on the back history for years and even created her own version of harry's first year at hogwarts.

a month later, dumbledore knocked on her appartment door and told her the truth of what he'd done and his proposal for her was.
she was to create a semi-accurate history of the Voldemort wars. this was 1991, so Harr y had just finished year one. jkr redid the book with the real story.

a week later, he returned with his pensieve and showed her memories of harry ron and hermione, because she would not be allowed to actually meet them. over the next few years, dumbledore brought many of the adult characters for her to interview, such as remus, minerva mcgonagall, mr. and mrs. weasley, and a few others.

jkr finished the first book and sent it to a few publishers. when they turned it down, she sent it to dumbledore. he bewitched the words in the books so that they would hook most every muggle that read it. some of course, would have a negative reaction to the spell, and therefore hate harry potter. the spell wouldn't affect some, but for others, the books would be binding.

jkr then sent the book to bloomsbury, and the spell worked. the book would be published. by the time the ministry of magic found out about the book (in 1996), over a million muggles world-wide had read it. a cover up would be impossible. she was allowed to continue the books, because the paranoid ministry thought it would look suspicious if she stopped suddenly.

the information about the wizarding buildings and their locations, as well as any muggles or muggle borns in the books are purposely skewed. the dursleys aren't actually called the dursleys, but something else, see?

this is long, so tell me what you think so far.

oh well, since you're gone, and i'm bored, i'll finish.

dumbledore last relayed information to jkr is late 1995. he died a few months later, and charged mcgonagall to tell rowling the rest. minerva didn't really like the idea, so she only said the bare minimum. she was allowed to interview remus and tonks (who had to pose as a couple for the reason mentioned in reminiscing). she was informed of their (supposed) deaths in a terse note from minerva in late 1997, as well as information about tonks' son teddy, and bill and fleur's marriage. harry had found out about the books through the "Dursley's", and sent her a letter in early 1998 about his plans for the future, his engagement to ginny, hermione's engagement to ron, and thanks for doing his story justice. (remus turns up again in 1999~2000). jkr finishes the books and publishes the last one in DH. she hasn't heard from the wizarding world since harry's letter in 1998.

so the last two books are fairly inaccurate as compared to the others because of minerva's disapproval of dumbledore's scheme.

some minor things to explain away. jkr had guessed what would happen and wrote the last chapter, which she later tweaked (she said she tweaked it in an interview).

she had guessed arthur would died, but not remus and tonks, so she substitued them for him in the last book.

she really does care about all her characters and would never have written something that was purposefully untrue about them.

What about remus, though? Explain (officially, in the offical plot topic) why he's not dead. B/c I forgot. And your explanation for that is lacking.

ok. to keep my remus/elina subplot. elina's technically not supposed to exist. her story involves an EXTREMELY illegal use of a time turner, and dumbledore didn't want the ministry to find out about that. they were already mad at him for revealing the wizarding world to jkr and the world, so he didn't want to make them any angrier. however, molly mentioned that remus had a fiancée, so of jkr was interested. romance would be a nice break from the horror. dumbledore asked tonks to pose as his fiancée in the interview. Tonks married ________ a few month later, and Teddy was born in mid may.

During the last battle, greyback overpowered remus and dragged him into the middle of the forest and left him there unconcious, planning to come back later and have a game of hunting him (horrible, i know). he was killed in the battle, and poor remus was left there without a wand. the enchantments on the forest are such that is very difficult to find your way out again, once you're that far in, so it took moony until after the last communique with jkr to get out and find his way back to the wizarding world.

jkr was told simply that both tonks and her husband died. everyone believed remus died anyway, so no one bothered to inform jkr that remus wasn't actually tonks' husband.

very, very confusing and extremely unlikely, but hey, weird stuff happens.

occam's razor pretty much kills my theory though. (isn't contact the greatest movie in the world???)

this is GREAT! and I actually understood everything, jkr did get Fred's death right though, we'll keep it at that, but failed to mention that WWW had a portrait of him, along with The Burrow... so yeah, those are my characters... bwa! I'll make another if you wish... just say the word...

how should we invole harry, ron, and hermione, if at all? someone needs to make ron if there isn't one already... i can't believe we don't have him.

You know I love the weasleys! If you want me to be Ron I will...

Oh, and technically, Harry's an adult and Luna, Aurora, and whoever else was 1 year behind Harry is a 7th year person now... Change it Moony!
