Welcome to Silent Castle

Welcome to Silent Castle, a typing-based Harry Potter RPG set two months after Harry's 7th year. We are glad to have you here. Register to be able to start topics and RP with everyone else on the site. Latest News: Up and running! Silent Castle, after two years of being run and RPed on by simply the administrators, is now open to the general public.

Important Note Before Registering: Please register with a first and last name, such as Mary Sue. Please, no mary_sue, MarySue, xxmarysuexx or Sue, Mary. No *sugarsweetbabe* or @ngel, please. Your Sorting Hat application will not be accepted if you register with such a name. If you mistakenly give yourself such a name, please PM an admin with a request for a name change.

Before doing anything else, please read the Rules. This is extremely important.

Your lovely administrators are Moony, Bean, and Padfoot. Feel free to contact any of us if you encounter a problem with the site.

Please, please, please read the Rules before posting in the Sorting Hat after registering. Please. We beg of you. Furthermore, it is not only in our best interests but in yours, as you must supply us with the secret word to prove that you are worthy of joining us at the site. The link is located just below the banner, I'm sure you'll be able to find it.

The current plot is being worked on. If you've got anything to add, then post in the topic titled 'Plot' in the 'Plot' forum. I know that's tough to remember, but I have confidence in you.

By the way, Silent Castle is now open to role-playing. Go have fun! We are now officially going public. If you are new and you know any of the admins personally, please PM us letting us know who you are and we'll direct you to all the right places.

The dark, damp dungeons of Hogwarts, where you just can't help but feel that Jeepers Creepers is about to steal your peepers. The occasional scream of agony often echoes through the empty corridors, giving you a nice chill down your spine on a hot day.

This floor contains such luxuries as the Entrance Hall and the Great Hall, perfect for loitering and munching. For this reason and more, it's often crowded with students anxious to utilize these amenities to their full potential.

The first, and main floor of Hogwarts. Many offices are located along its winding corridors, making it easy for Hufflepuffs to get around but at an inconveinient location for Gryffindors, who must trudge up and down six flights of moving staircases.

Second Floor
Guess what? It's the second floor! The theme seems to be medival, as you can see by the various pictures of knights in shining armor that line the walls. There are some very gory paintings, making it an ironic location for the Hospital Wing.

And the number shall be three, and three shall be the number, coming after two and you may not count to two unless continuing on to three, and you may not count to four, being the number after three. There are rumors that a migrating coconut once whacked a student in the head, and watch your step lest you trod on any innocent white rabbits underfoot. And if you listen very carefully, you may hear traces of the first few bars of 'Sir Robin...'

Fourth Floor
The one and only haunted floor of Hogwarts. Trust me, not somewhere you'd like to take your classes. Ghosts roam the halls at night (if you're lucky, you may hear the infamous and highly discreet sobbing wails of Moaning Myrtle, or the telltale call of Nearly Headless Nick). Bring your binoculars, because sometimes in the distance you will see the highly rare Bloody Baron haunting the east windows. Don't bother to stop for a Peeves, though. They're very common and extremely dangerous, and we're not liable if you walk out of here with gum up your nose.

Fifth Floor
Round and round the staircase goes, all the way up to the fifth floor. As we near the top, you'll see on your left the rarely visited Astronomy classroom, and if you'll look over to your left for a second you can catch a glimpse of our beloved (*snicker*) Headmistress doing... Oh, dear, what is she doing in there? Moving right along...

Sixth Floor
Ah, and we arrive at the top floor of Hogwarts. Well, besides the four Towers, of course. And the Astronomy Tower on the northwest corner was actually quite taller than this. And there's always the possibility of a secret meeting or two on the rooftop. And it's quite possible to float above it on a broom. But besides that, it's pretty tall. Yep, drop a penny and someone's bound to get hurt. Not to give you any ideas, of course.

The Towers
The four magestic towers of Hogwarts. And the one that fell down, of course. Which puzzles me, because here we are classifying it as a tower, but the ruins aren't even close to surpassing the second floor. And yet, it still is considered a tower, but it shouldn't be, but it is. What?
