basiclly which game had the best characters. For me, I have to go with Paper Mario. I liked the koopa bros, general guy, and tubba blubba. I also liked the new characters added in Paper Mario. (Cleft, Puff, etc.)

SMRPG had the best characters. Geno is awesome and the game wouldn't be complete without Booster.

I would have to agree with Mr.X . Geno, Mario, Mallow, Bowser rocks!!!!!!!! They were cool! They were awesome. The bosses are cool too! Especially teh AxemRangers!! yeah!!!

All of them had a good selection of characters, but in the first three games most of them seemed a bit flat and two-dimensional. I mean, not in the graphical sense. PM2's cast I felt were developed a little bit more.
I haven't played M&L2 yet, so I can't comment on that. --------------------  The nose made the sig, the sombrero made the avi. SMRPG had FF references (whole Culex thing) and therefore, it had the best characters.

Paper Mario. I saw Gamespot's review and it said:
"Although the characters look bizarre and out of this world, they have relatable and down to earth personalities and attitudes. This allows anyone to related to the characters" I was like. WOW! I never noticed that! It's soo true! And they all somehow fit in to the Mario theme for me (Yes. Even the X Nauts..and all the other new characters that were introduced). I also like them because they look more like cartoons. -------------------- Random Den - A Random place I started for my friends.

I picked M&L because of Fawful's funny sayings, but yeah, you can't beat SMRPG.

SMRPG characters had that old Square spirit in them that were on games like Final Fantasy II/IV and Chrono Trigger. So SMRPG rules all.

Super Mario RPG, no contest. The sheer imagination that went into the characters in that game blow away anything else that's ever been produced in a Mario RPG. Seriously, you have a doll and a cloud on your team and through out your travels you fight a giant wedding cake, a four eyed leopard, and a martial arts master that's about the size of an apple. Really, you can't get much more creative then that as far as Mario games go.

Lol yah General Guy and Lava Pirahna were intertainng and Blooper was hilarious in Paper mario,started randomly shouting "BLOOPER!!!" lol but my most 3 faves are Geno,Toadette,Luigi,i also like Prof. E Gad and Fawful lol o and Goombario & Watt <3 theres some others but those are my Maroi faves
 SMRPG is my most fave for Geno <3 awsomeness lol its all bout Geno in my book -------------------- |

Haha, that's amazing how many people picked Super Mario RPG. I mean, obviously that is the best choice.
 My reasons are pretty much the same as others. Mallow and Geno are wonderfully innovative characters and so much fun to play as. Every boss was unique to the Mario world and most were rather entertaining. --------------------  |

Nothing compares to the originals, especially Geno & Mallow, I wish they would make a sequel to that someday. Its been so long and thats my favorite mario game.
