For those who have never checked the submitted email page, since I have 0, I was thinking of deleting it

However, after looking through it again, I realized that would just mgiht've struck gold

I forgot that Nintendo gave me Square's MAILING ADDRESS!!! I completely forgot about this!

I'm thinking of sending them a letter, though that does cost money. Maybe we could gat a huge compilation of letters that we would all like to send, and then 1 of us could send them, most likely me.

All other Square Contacts cost money, and they have no general comment emails. Telephone is waaaaaay expensive and is generally pointless

This is probably our best way to contact Square. I'm also thinking of sending letters out to Nintendo Power as well, and maybe some more popular magazines. It's possible that they might put us in.

I think that it will help if nintendo realizes that were paying money just to help persuade them. thats what i call sad, especially since all the other games were remade and that this is for over 2 years now

yea....me and former staffer supergeno were the ones who started this. well, qeomash actually started the petition, but we started the whole contact the companies thing. almost everyone here has sent an email

I haven't sent an e-mail, because I don't know what to write, and it would be infringing copyright laws anyway. But nice all the same.

According to some random stuff...

1) ROMs are illegal.

2) Import games are also illegal, but less so.

3) Super Mario RPG was an NTSC-only game.

4) Europe is a PAL region.

I'm not supposed to have played SMRPG, or even heard much about it, so why should I care? (I do care, but that's because I played it, and ROMs are illegal...)

Well roms aren't illiegal in some ways if you own the game for the system then you can get it.So don't say things you don't know.

A common misconception.

ROMs are illegal even if you own the game. Look in the back of ANY Nintendo manual and somewhere it'll say "Backup or Archival copying of this game is strictly prohibited" or something like that.

Emulation is illegal, except for music, i.e. SPCs, NSFs, etc.

GBAs are region-free, and an NTSC SNES costs around £200. Maybe more.

Dear Square,

As you know, you and Nintendo worked together to create the masterpiece known as Super Mario RPG: Legend of The Seven Stars. I am a fan of the game, and you may know that alot of people are petitioning and sending letters and such for this game to be ported onto GBA or DS.

I am also supporting of this. Just imagine! A portable SMRPG, that we could play everywhere, anywhere!


Also imagine of the money you could make off of this. I'm sure tons of people would rush to buy the game, including me.


So please, think about this. It just might be worth your while if you port this game.

Wait! I have an idea! If we could get their japanese mailing adress... we could gather up all of the letters, and use a translation program, and explain that the japanese won't be the best because we don't speak it. Then we could send it over at the cheapest price we could find. Er.... well... maybe that wouldn't work... just a thought.

This petition looks like it could work. They already remade many Nintendo games... But they were all from Nintendo, not a third company... Hmm....

Dear Lord Yes!!! They definately have the technology, and why shouldn't they re-release Mario's brave leap into the RPG realm? I mean, it's like a whole generation of gamers missed out on the opportunity to play a true masterpiece!

If they're open to the Idea, though, then perhaps we should suggest an extra feature to keep the package fresh! Extra Stage, Ultimate Weapons and Gear, Cameos, etc.
