I'm right there with you, folks--the dreaded newbie status. Although, I suspect many of you will be seasoned message board attendees from all corners of the internet.

Welcome, welcome and welcome to the unofficial Black Dagger Brotherhood message board--The Phade!

I'm still learning here, so don't be surprised if you see me do an "aw, crapola" a time or two. Quickie about me:

Name is Kenda Montgomery. I'm a brother-holic like all of you and I like my brothers tall with a double shot of "hell, yeah, baby, I like it..."

Oops, sorry, almost went x-rated on yall. It's a bit early for that. :D

I'm mother to one two-year-old, married to a wonderful man that's way smarter than me (though I only tell him that at Christmas and his birthday) and we get told regularly by our cat Bubba and two hound dogs, Sadie and Blue. I do graphic design by day and write romances at night, all with a paranormal edge, in what I like to call me "not-so-free" time. And that is so enough about me!

So please, stop in, don't be shy and introduce yourself. Tell us why you love the BDB, why you joined the board or why you don't like full moons with that little glowing ring around them--whatever. We're just glad to have you here!

Hey everyone. My names Prue and I am 27 and live in Australia. I have a hubby and a cat named 'Lucy'. I am a qualified Archaeologist and Anthropologist. I am currently studying Museum Studies in Post Grad.

I am soooo glad we got this board together. I am a member of the official boards but hate the feel there. I love the brothers though and just can't stop reading about them

<_< that could explain the current grades :)

Welcome to everyone :D and a huge thank you to KMont! You rock!!

Hey y'all, I'm "2Wild" and like the others, an "official" BDB board defector. So glad to now have an honest, mature, open forum...let's just make sure it stays this way. I look forward to posting and discussing quite often.
Thus far, I've thoroughly enjoyed all the BDB books but have sometimes had a slight criticism or two and appreciate now having the opportunity to voice them, without fear of retribution or retaliation! FREE SPEECH RULES! :D
"Prue", what an interesting field of study...thanks to both you and "KMont" for tackling those mod responsibilities.
So...let's get this party started! :P

Hi, I'm katydid on the amazon board. I love the Brothers, but also like to speak up about what I don't like. I read a lot, but am pretty picky about what I read, and haven't found anything that hooks me as much as BDB.

I have two daughters, four guinea pigs, and a gerbil who just died. (Hence my username.) Looking forward to talking with you all!

Glad to see this forum kicking off! Welcome 2Wild and Pandaheaven!

And too, condolences from me as well for your gerbil, Pandaheaven. It's not easy when our pets go. They're a big part of our family at my house too.

Hey everyone! :D

My name is Samantha, and I live in California. I just got married in Vegas!!...and I'm working on my BA in Biotechnology, and will start my internship soon. I just love the BDB books, and am eagerly waiting for my copy of V to get here early *crosses fingers*.

I'm also registered over at the official forum, but haven't been over there in a while. I just believe in free speech, and am so happy to finally have a forum where we can all exercise that right. :)

KMont, don't worry about your spelling...it's probably nothing compared to mine. I couldn't live wothout my beloved spell-check!

Hello all. I discovered your wonderful attempt at letting big girls act like big girls while looking up Lover Unbound on Amazon. This is a brilliant idea. I, too, am a defect from the bizarre official board, where I posted approximately three times before realizing that it was a touch too cult-like for me. Sycophantic fawning just isn't in me, I guess.

A word about who I am- 23 year old graduate student in theology who just moved to the Cambridge-Boston area. I like to read, write, have thoughtful discussions, and drink tea.

Though I am not the type to post much, I do appreciate the effort being made here, and I give mad props to the ladies that, unlike me, didn't just gripe about that other place, but did something about it. Maybe this board will reinvigorate my interest in the BDB. I actually had decided not to buy Lover Unbound, based simply on my disgust with what was happening on the other board, but perhaps I will look into it now instead of just grabbing it from the library. I really enjoy the books but am the only person I know who reads them, so I would like to have a place where I can discuss what's doing with other readers, and I would like to have that discussion move beyond "I loved it." Not everything about these books is great (*cough, cough* overuse of slang terms and brand names *cough, cough*), and I think everyone, mods, readers, and authors, should be man (or woman) enough to enter into discussions with some degree of honesty.

Ok, so I am now way off topic and way beyond an introduction, so I will stop. Again, this forum is a neat idea for those of us who think free speech is the bee's knees, and I appreciate the time and efforts of those who brought it together.

Welcome, Goddess of Gloom! Thanks so much for joining and for your great intro. It's a shame that any discussion on books would result in readers defecting, but yeah, we know it happens. Well, have a look around (often, lol) and just jump in. Glad to have you!

I'm so sorry for your loss Panda Heaven......our pets are our family, too.

Currently we have a long hair mix cat named Buster.
He and my MIL's cat each have 3 colors, even though all cats with more than 2 colors are supposed to al be females !
We live in Texas.

I joined the "other" BDB board around a year ago.......but never quite felt like I fit in.....

This board is a Great idea !

Married to 2nd hubby now for 22 years.
I'm a retired Army wife....(since hubby is retired)

Amateur writer...but nothing is published.

I collect gargoyles...stopped counting after 60.
(Love gothic architecture)
They're anywhere from an inch tall to 3 feet tall.

Also collect shot glasses, David Winter Cottages, and MontBlanc LTD edition pens.

Besides the BDB series, I like reading true crime, medical horror (Robin Cook and others), other paranormal romance w/ vampires....naturally they all pale next to the Brothers.
Love Tess Gerritson's books.
On the cover, or just inside one of her books is a comment from Stephen King saying her books were "required reading at our house."

The name dropping that is in the BDB books doesn't bother me much...I just figured JRW was just trying to present a specific image..
Personally, I'd have the Brothers in Navigators instead of Escalades....but that's just me.

I guess that's more than enough for now.....

So happy to see this new board for the BDB !

Thank You !

LOL, BDBWench, on the Navigator. It's a bit more plush, isn't it?

And I just have to say I love the word "wench". Makes me think of Hard Day's Knight by Katie MacAlister every time I see it and the Wenches Guild (think that's what it was called).

Anywho, welcome and have fun here at The Phade!

Welcome Goddess and BDB Wench! :D

I feel you guys about the pets. I have one kitty, a short haired black, and I had three rats. I know some people are squeamish about rats, but they are actually really social and playful animals. They were Itchy, Scratchy and Dumbo. We lost Itchy and Scratchy a couple of months ago, and just lost Dumbo. :( We had them all about three years, which is a long time for rats.

Sam, I forgot to officially welcome you earlier. :( So, welcome! Everyone, Sam will be another one of our moderators. We'll have three total, which may sound like a lot, but it's in anticipation of this becoming a hot, hot place to chat!

And Sam, my DH had a rat when we were in high school. I loved him, named him Mossimo. He wasn't as sociable as DH's Burmese python, but he wasn't opposed to a petting every once in a while. Can't remember what happened to him though. Think he may have escaped, the little rat fink!

So Sorry about your pet rats. I remember my DH's being really fun.

Hello all! This is really great to read your posts and I'm so glad to see everyone of you coming on 'board'...WOO! HOO!

I'm one of the Mods here, so I'll introduce myself. I'm the 46 year old step/mom to 6 ages 19-26. I found my HEA in a 40 year old, never married bachelor 7 years ago. My husband and I minister with a local anti gang Organization and I am a Crisis Intake Counselor as well as an Office Admin for a local Non-Profit Agency.
I am a big believer in people having the right to and expressing their opinions. This Phorum began on Amazon after the "BDB Board Discussion" was posted by myself (LADouhan). It has been a joy to meet others that have been the subject of 'noodling' and 'banning' on the BDB Board. It never occured to me until that post, that there were others who felt the same way I did.
My hats off to those of you who began this...it never would have occurred to me to begin something like this from that post. That was just me, venting while breathing in a paper bag...trying to figure out what the H*** was going on!!!
Soooo....ALL of you...POST AWAY!!! We love the BDB, we can't get enough of the Brothers, right? So let's hear what we all have to say about them....the good, the bad and the controversial....let's get 'real'...you feel me? LOL
