Okay, people! Straighten up. You, shoulders back, gut in. You with the purple hair! Yeah, you. No, every thing's cool. Just wanted to say how much I like your hair.

Basically, folks, this is going to be a fun, lighthearted discussion group about our favorite of faves--duh dun! You guessed it, Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood (BDB). Some who join will know why we created this message board, but for those that don't know why, suffice it to say The Phade is meant to be an uncensored, yet adult and polite area to discuss something we're all passionate about on one level or another.

On with the Rules:

1. Be polite. Do not be mean, malicious, derogatory or anything of that nature to your fellow Phaders or in naming ANY group of people or a particular person (i.e. authors, members of other boards, a particular actor, ANYONE) that may be brought up on this board (it’s fine to say you do not like something or the way someone does something, it is not okay to call them a derogatory name/imply a derogatory statement at the same time). Failure to abide by this simple and common sense rule will result in action by our Moderators.

2. When posting, please DO NOT post/upload anything that would be a copywrite infringement on Ward's work, i.e. book covers, etc. (to clarify--this does include direct quotes from books) As an unofficial board, we could get in trouble for this. If you're not sure what her site considers an infringement, please check out her site and message boards. http://www.jrward.com

Copywrite infringements DO include FANFIC! So no fanfic of Ward’s work, period. To read our official fanfic policy, click here.

3. You MUST be at least 18 years old to participate.

4. No Spam. Any account caught spamming will be deleted.

5. No hijacking of threads. If you feel the need to discuss a different topic, then start a new thread in the appropriate forum. If a moderator sees a thread being hijacked, they reserve the right to do their job and get it back on track (through redirecting Q's/cautions and such) and/or split your new idea into its own thread.

If you need help in splitting off posts into a new thread, please contact a moderator.

6. No starting flame wars/fights in phorum threads--PERIOD. If you have an issue with a member that needs resolving, contact a moderator. If you have a problem with a moderator, then contact another moderator or contact the one you are concerned about and consider discussing with them the issue. Any member taking their anger issues directly onto the board for all to see will instantly earn several days banned from the board. This is a board for ALL members; taking your personal problems with another member or moderator public isn't fair to the rest of the board and brings down the overall spirit. We will give members the courtesy of privacy when dealing with issues and we expect the same in return.

7. PORN - is not allowed. This has been covered in the past by the post below this one stating our host's (InvisionFree) policy on porn. Do not post pictures or link to pictures or any content that is considered porn or comes from a source known as a provider of pornographic materials. If something arises that is questionable, the moderating/Admin Team will look at the material in question and make a decision. That decision is final.

More rules may come as the board expands. These are not intended to limit discussions in any way and if it were up to me there wouldn't really be any. Unfortunately, things might arise that we didn't think of and other rules may become necessary down the line. When contacted by a Moderator or Admin for breaking a rule, please do not take it personally. Nine times out of ten, we realize that the member meant no offense or never meant to break the rules, but we still have to enforce them. Please afford the Moderator in question at the time respect, and you'll receive the same in return.

HOW WE MOD: Posts needing editing will be edited first and a PM notice sent to the member in question. If things are cool from there, it ends there. If the member becomes hostile with their wordage, they risk further warnings in PMs and at the most can possibly receive a warning via the warn panel that is located beneath each members avatar. Enough warnings can possibly earn you a temporary ban.

As Moderators and Admin, we also work together as a TEAM. If a member shares information with a Moderator or Admin, and it effects any decisions needing to be made on the board, then that information is shared amongst the moderating team in order to make the best decision possible. This includes but is not limited to information received in personal messages and emails.

In the meantime, I advise any incoming members to please read InvisionFree's own Terms of Service and their Terms of Use. This might give everyone a good idea about what is expected when participating on our message board in addition to guidelines we post here. Terms of Service Terms of Use

Hi Phaders :hi:
Just a short note for y'all that if you aren't sure if a person's post is directed towards you....or you're feeling attacked by a member? Please fire off a polite PM to them before posting a reply.
We have had several instances of confusion over the past few months....and to be totally honest? Recently, we've even had this type of misunderstanding in our protected Mods Forum. So we truly are speaking to Phaders in general, not to any one specific individual here.
It never hurts to ask a Q, yanno? :lovesite
And we Admins/Mods can attest to the fact that communication helps tremendously in improving ones POV. Thanks! :flower4U:

Yes, it is hard to read the "tone" of a posted comment or email. It is very easy to misinterpet the actual meaning of a message because insult can be read into a very innocent comment when it is not meant that way. I hope that anyone who takes offence at something I might say on this board will PLEASE ask me through an IM or email :java: what the heck I really mean before taking offence. Thanks :kitty:

It didn't??!!! Ohhhhh, this is a travesty! A waste of masculine fineness!

Oh wth am I kidding? Like I know how to fix it! :nosepick: Maybe another Phader has a clue??
Btw...the bare assed Scot is probably the most used smilie on the Board.
We give him to each other as inspiration and rewards! Bonus! :devsnort:
