"I thought you would be pleased to have him out of the way" Lycara noted, seeing his shocked expression
"I can't imagine that you cared about him at all, but regardless, we have more immediate concerns" Lycara finished, before shifting into her wolf form, and running towards the remaining sentry. The man fired an arrow at her, but fear and haste sent it wide, allowing Lycara to leap upon the sentry, tearing his throat out like she had done with the trapper. Having disposed of the sentries, Lycara ventured into the cave, hidden from view by the carts, to find a band of 10 smugglers, all armed with knives, except one, who looked like the leader, and carried a long sword. Lycara guessed that the sentries recieved the bows, as she stood in the shadows, hidden from view of both the sentries and Toma, and waited.

He growled in response. Of course he was pleased to have him out of the way, just not pleased that the man had died. He had already opened fire, it wasn't as if the 'Corporal' was stopping him! And he'd have been dragged into the melee as well!
Whoever this person was, not only were they dangerous but they also acted out on their impulses. And they could change into a Wolf at will.
He lay prone outside, bipod deployed and covering the entrance. Either she would come out or they would come out. Either way, he'd be ready. "Follow her." He muttered, feeling the bark of assent from the Wolf as it stalked into the cave. The bullets in his rifle could blast through the rock if need be.....

Lycara stifled a yawn, the waiting was getting boring. However, she soon tensed as she smelled a presence behind her, smelling heavily of wolf. She glanced around, and surely enough, the wolf had stalked her into the cave. She shrugged, the wolf smelled like Tomas, albeit with a few differences, so they had to be connected somehow. Then, as one of the bandits started walking out of the cave, calling what she assumed were the names of the dead sentries, she saw her chance, and prepared to leap upon the man. However, instinct told her that something was wrong, as the other wolf was watching her intently. So, Lycara shifted back to her human form, and called out in as masculine a voice as she could
"Intruders outside!" The other bandits heard the call, and two knife-armed bandits walked out of the cave, into the open...

He smiled grimly as it became apparent that she knew she was being watched. Good, that would either be enough to keep her in line or enough provocation to attack him. Or she'd ignore it and let him get on with his life. Two, coming outside.... He relaxed into the rifle, waiting patiently for them. He'd take them easily.
They emerged, he could see them blink in the sunlight. He heard the exclamation as they discovered their comrade. One had bent down to check the corpse. He took the one standing up through the temple. He slammed the bolt back as the other turned around, surprise and shock evident on his face. His next shot slashed through his chest.

Lycara smiled as she heard the screams outside. Whatever faults Tomas had, he was a good shot, Lycara mused. She turned back to look at the bandits, and saw that they too had heard the screams, as they were nervously readying weapons, picking up knives, clubs, and, for the leader, his sword. She had to hold back laughter as the 8 bandits walked out of the cave, shouting to each-other in suprise as they found the dead bodies of their comrades. Lycara herself returned to her wolf form, and moved behind the bandits silently, staying just inside the cave, and out of sight.

He took careful aim, sighting the rifle along the lead figures head. This was almost too easy, he reckoned, wondering what kind of bandits and outlaws these men were. They had been able to run rings around the city guard, only to die in an ambush?
It made little sense. Still, he wasn't about the argue. "Die." He muttered as he fired, the bullet punching clean through the man to impact on the second man's blade with a clang.

Lycara laughed as she saw the lead bandit fall. Such fools these outlaws are, she mused. Then she shifted into her wolf form, charging forwards and leaping on the closest man from behind. Her claws and fangs dug deep, and as the man fell, she retreated back into the cave, leaving only dazed and disoriented bandits in her wake.

He reloaded calmly as the bandits scattered, not wanting to make themselves easy targets for sniper fire. Or was he giving them too much credit? He moved to the one furthest away and lined up the scope on his lower back.
A second later and he was dead.
The bolt flew back as he rose to one knee, giving the bandits a clear target for the first time since this engagement started. He sighted the closest - close enough to hold a conversation with. They must've ran right towards him. He could see the expression on their face as he pulled the trigger. Another one to remember.

Lycara leapt out once again, tearing out the throat of another bandit, who was straying back to the cave. However, instead of leaving the corpse, Lycara grabbed it by the neck, and dragged it back into the cave, out of sight. There, she began to eat, enjoying her meal.
The remaining 3 bandits ran for cover in the form of some nearby rocks, though one of them tripped in his haste, landing flat on his face in the open.

The harsh clack of the bolt sounded, rupturing the silence that stretched between him and the Bandit he had lined up on. He was empty? That... That wasn't good. The bandit seized his chance, running forwards towards him with a great cry. His own hand scrabbled for the revolver, the other keeping the rifle held level.
He wasn't going to make it. With lightening speed born from desperation, he turned his movements into a lunge - stabbing forwards with the bayonet on the end. This was the first time he'd ever used this application of it. The blade slashed past as the bandit nimbly dodged past, their own blade arcing towards his neck. He swung the rifle butt into their face with an audible crack.

Lycara licked her lips in satisfaction, as she glanced down at the bones and blood that remained of the bandit, the rest now in her stomach. She walked out of the cave, to see carnage ensue, as a bandit managed to close with Tomas, only to get knocked sprawling by his rifle butt. Lycara ran forwards, leaping on the bandit as he strugged to recover, and putting him out of his misery. She then walked forward, standing side-by-side with Tomas, as the two remaining bandits drew swords, and rushed towards them. Lycara shifted back into her human form, drawing her ornate longsword, Nightfang, and grinning
"This will be fun"

With a cry, a cry of mixed elation and fear, he reversed the rifle and slammed the bayonet into his assailants stomach. He could see there expression, a rictus of anger and pain as they breathed heavily. Their hand reached out, trying to grab him. He twisted the blade deeper into their stomach.
Only for Lycara to attack the man and end his suffering. "How the Hell did you get here so fast?" He snarled, wondering how she had done so. There had been a good 30 yards between him and the cave entrance, how the fething Hell had she managed to cross 30 yards in the space of a few seconds? Was she a.... A.... Cheepah, or something like that?
He ignored her statement as he hurried to reload, hand delving into the satchel by his side. Like Hell did he want to be caught unawares.

Lycara ran forwards to meet the charge of the two remaining bandits head on. She met their eyes, saw the fear there after witnessing the deaths of the others who had been in the camp, and smiled. It was not only for her income that she hunted bandits like this, it was also a hobby. Dad was right, Lycara mused, you're lucky to find a job you like. With that in mind, Lycara rushed forward until she was less than a metre away from the bandits, before swerving sideways, in tune with a stroke from Nightfang that beheaded one of the bandits. The remaining bandit drew a gash on Lycara's shoulder, but continued to run towards Tomas, more worried about his rifle than anything else. Lycara decided to let Tomas have his fun, and checked the corpses around her for loot, coming up with a considerable amount of money. She chuckled, pocketing the money, and turned to watch Tomas and the final bandit, as the wound on her shoulder sealed up, testimony to her regenerative powers.

He cursed as he saw the bandit make a beeline straight for him. He wouldn't be able to reload in time. He sighed, dropping the strip of bullets and snatching his revolver from it's holster. He had more than enough time this time, he idly mused as he levelled the weapon and fired. The bandit was thrown back with a jerk as the low calibre bullet tore through his neck. He sighed again as he holstered the smoking revolver, reaching for the previously discarded ammunition strip. He didn't want to end up as a snack.

Lycara grinned as she watched the last bandit fall, glancing up at Tomas once again, seeing him reloading. Lycara licked her lips, still full from the meal she had eaten in the cave.
"Well, it's been fun hunting with you, I'll see you around, I guess" Lycara said, grinning, as she shifted to her wolf form, and started running back towards Nether City.
OOC: Seems this is over?
