Tharis sat on a nearby hill as he watched the crowds of people, both human and inhuman; slowly move through the city gates. Guards were stood at both sides of the gates, occasionally stopping someone, to ask them a question or two. Tharis laughed mentally as he realized that most who were pulled over were the inhuman kind, such as Anivens, Trolls, Unforgiven and even the occasional Demon or Angel. Nether City welcomed pretty much all races, though that didnít change the fact that mistrust of the supernatural was a common trait among humans.
Tharis preferred if he didnít have to be interviewed by one of the cities constables, so as he made his way to the city gates, he pulled up the collar of his coat and put his head down, hoping that his fringe would hide his eyes, which was the only trait which showed that he wasnít human. Most vampires appeared and acted like humans, but Tharis was different, he had been cursed hundreds of years ago and the only evidence of the curse was his strange black and red eyes.
The ancient vampire merged with a large group, taking on the act of another desperate newcomer to the city. Though he kept his head down, his eyes were looking though his fringe, darting back and forward, looking for any signs of danger. Although he didnít really expect any with all the guards around.
Tharis sighed mentally as he passed though the city walls and ducked into a nearby alley the first chance he got. He quickly checked his pockets and bags to make sure nothing had been stolen by a pickpocket or cutpurse concealed in the crowd. Satisfied that nothing had been stolen, he sat down on a nearby crate, and decided to rest for a moment.

Hasier watched the guards pulling people out of the crowd. He wondered why they were picked out. He watched them walk passed after they were released. They all shuffled away from him as they came close.
Hasier tried to stand up, but his arm was held down. Looking at it, he noticed it was cuffed to a drainage grate. Confused by his situation he sat back down. He then tried to rest his head in his hand. But this failed as well. Instead of supporting his head, it dropped to face half an arm, his arm. This confused him more; being almost certain he had two complete arms.
Looking up again, he noticed someone sit down on a crate opposite him. He just stared blankly at him. Something inside his head was telling him that that person was different. After a moment Hasier released he was the only person to stop after pacing the gate.
He continued to stare blankly until his attention was drawn by a spot of blood dripping in front of his eye.
