The vampire’s strange eyes darted back and forth across the crowded market. He had never seen so many people in years, after the demon apocalypse Tharis had though most of the world’s population dead or hiding in caves like savages. He had spent so many decades in silence; he thought he would have been glad to see so many people even if most of them were lesser races, but all it did was frustrate him. Dozens of people talking at once, the smell of countless perfumes worn by the richer woman of the Nether City, it all just overwhelmed his senses and to make it worse he felt as if he was being followed.
Tharis hunted for a secluded spot in the market to rest and adjust to his surroundings and to his surprise he found in the very center of the market at a large fountain. Though to add to his annoyance he saw a group of girls sitting on it edge that begun to giggle as he approached the fountain at sat down on its edge, completely ignoring the girls who obviously wanted to flirt with him. He was still a handsome lad even with his gaunt appearance. As he sat down he observed the crowd, hoping to get any hint of who might have been following him, he quickly pushed from his mind as it was most likely just one of the so called Vampire Hunters. Tharis had disposed of so many of there kin in his long endless life, though one had managed to kill him once.
OOC: This is an open topic btw :P
She spun and landed gracefully on her feet after two somersaults.
Those still watching clapped and cheered, and Aeris, along with her dancing team, bowed with great appreciation. The children squealed and ran towards them, making her laugh.
I did you fine, didn't I, my dear? Such grace and beauty, and all thanks to me.
You flatter me, demon. Won't you stop?
He chuckled, his voice reverberating throughout her body.
All right, all right. I get the gist. But i do expect that thanks anytime ..
She shook her head, smiling still as she packed her things.
"Hey, Aeris." Drake walked towards her, his bag slung over his broad shoulder. Always shirtless, she had to admit he looked really good. Expected from a dragon, anyway.
"The guys and I are heading to Illidan's place then to the Lost Soul - we were just wondering if you wanted to come." He put on his disarming smile, but this time she shook her head.
"You go ahead, I'll be fine here. I feel I need to stay a bit longer, and plus the children need someone to look after them. My shift, remember?"
He frowned, his shoulder slumping. "Well, if you change your mind. You know where we'll be."
She laughed, waving the other goodbye.
A sudden laughter came from behind her, and before she knew it, hands were pulling her towards the center of the square - to the large fountain.
It was a beautiful structure, and its endless sound of flowing water always calmed her down.
The hands pulled away from her, and the children went to run around near the fountain.
She spotted a couple of giggling girls, no doubt gossiping and checking out some unfortunate soul.
Upon spotting also a lone figure sitting on the edge of the fountain, she frowned and furrowed her brows.
I wouldn't, my dear ...
She took a deep breath, and walked towards him. She didn't know what took her over, but as she sat down next to him, she could feel a somewhat silent aura coming from him.
"I hope you don't mind me sitting here - I didn't want to admire at the beautiful day without someone sharing it with."
Tharis smiled a fake smile as she sat down. “No I don’t mind” He was lying, truth was that he wasn’t in the mood of flirting with some girl, but he thought that he might as well play along. “You’re right; I guess it is a beautiful day”. The vampire said with another fake smile of his as he turned to face the girl, who was accually rather pretty. Maybe this won’t be so bad after all.
OOC: Sorry small post.
Aeris raised her eyebrow, picking up without effort, the loose hint of sarcasm in his voice. Any girl would have ignored it, but she wasn't just any girl.
She was careful to stifle her laughter from escaping her lips, instead breathing quite heavy.
It was easy ignoring the glaring looks from the gossiping girls, but what wasn't easy to ignore was the fact that she could identify him easy without having to ask him. There was a slight edge about him, a feeling that if a form of known threat presented itself, he would vanish - just like that.
I wonder where his clan is. Do you mind if I ask?
Yes, of course I mind. Leave him be, demon. He clearly doesn't want to be disturbed. Especially the likes of you.
Pardon me, dear. I didn't know you two knew each other.
Aeris ignored him, smiling instead at the stranger.
As she was about to ask his name, one of the girls from the other side, walked towards them with a confident look. She might've been the leader too, by the looks of it.
"Hi. I'm sorry to bother you but I was just wondering something."
Aeris smiled. "Not at all."
Yes, by her smiling face, she really feels very sorry ..
"Uhh ..." She turned her attention to her intended person, her smile growing. "I'm Annabelle. I was just wondering if you wanted to maybe, go out sometime." She batted her eyes, pursing her lips outward. "Get a drink in a bar or something. What do you say?"
