Title: Mephisto; Lord of dance!

It was dark, no, it was darker then that. The blackness seemed to shred itself into several tones, all of them black and most of them to dark to distinguish from the black beside it. From the blackness a heavy black robe floated its way across, bobbing up and down in a rather odd fashion as it came closer to the centre of the square it was easy to make out a large glowing green skeleton hand and two green glowing dots hidden under its hood.
"Earl had a baby, Baby was her name. He knew she was crazy, Tiny was the same."
The voice, if it could be called that, sounded like the shutting of a sarcophagus and seemed to ignore the general way of sound, instead of going through the air it seemed to go straight to the ears.

Freya had been wandering around the damned city for over two hours by then. She'd found herself in the same place twice, despite not have recognised where she was going until she was staring at the same door she'd left from when the sun had set. And since the moon had not graced the night with it's presence, it was abnormally dark, she dreaded to think of how many times she'd fall over in such conditions.
So preoccupied in her sense of direction, or lack of one, she failed to notice someone until she'd nearly barrelled straight into them. She was one of those people who found it extraordinarily difficult to stop quickly, and as a result nearly fell over for what must have been at least the fifth time that night.
"Uh, hello?" She said awkwardly, trying to regain at least some balance. Somehow, even though she had two feet planted firmly on what she hoped was the ground, she still managed to feel insecure, as if a slight gust of wind would send her flying, probably into the ground - providing that was what she was standing on, there had been some odd times when she'd found herself standing on unusual things, for instance, faces.
The vampire squinted up at the figure, trying to make out a face, she sincerly hoped he did have a face, she'd met many without them, some of which she'd ended up standing on. At that thought she shuddered. "Uhh," She said unnecessarily.

The reaper was caught off guard by the vampire, almost falling over when hey collided. Well almost, maybe? It was hard to tell, from what could be seen it was more like a cloak with a hand then a person, and not even he had seen his legs lately.
"Hello madam."
His voice still sounded like the grinding of a thousand Mexican buses, yet there was something different, his tone was no longer happy, nor was it sad, it was just a voice.

Freya frowned, she'd never met anyone who was, from what she could see, essentially a coat and hands. "Er, I'm sorry I bumped into you - it's a habit of mine I can't seem to shake," She paused and took a big gulp of air. Whenever she was nervous she normally started talking very quickly, although it was sometimes interesting to hear what words she blurted out against her will. Why was she nervous? It wasn't like she didn't run into odd cloaked strangers on a daily basis now, was it?
She was about to begin on her usual tirade of barely coherent stammerings, when something flickered on the edge of her periphial vision. She turned her head to get a better look at what had previously caught her attention. The two halfbreeds were shifting around, looking very similiar to two kids waiting for their mother to finish her 'grown up' chat with another adult so they could go buy ice-cream. No, they looked nothing like that, to be completely honest they looked like a pair of mutated delinquents ready to start eating someone's pancreas.
"I'm Freya," She said for introductions sake, "And that's..." She brainstormed quickly, "Mutant 1 and Mutant 2," She improvised. Amazingly original, she thought with satisfaction.

Mephisto smiled to little effect, the black veil of shadow that hid his face from the world had a habit of doing that. Perhaps a nod would have been better, in hindsight anything would have been better, to the outside he probably looked like he just stared blankly at her for some time, or as blankly as one can without being seen.
"A pleasure Miss Freya, and too you two...eerrrmmm... Master Mutants."
underneath the hood something stirred, it was hard to make out, a black silhouette streaming against an otherwise black background. It swirled up and died down relatively quickly, followed by a small twinkle, almost like a raindrop.
"I am Mephesto."

Freya paused, shifting uneasily, "You, er... don't need to call them 'master' as though they deserve respect," She mumbled awkwardly. Really, it was her who didn't deserve the respect, she had created them afterall.
The vampire squinted at the cloaked figure, trying to distinguish person from darkness, and failing miserably. For someone who lived at night she'd think that she would have slightly better eyesight.
The halfbreeds made a mewling sound, a sound she presumed would be similiar to the noise a kitten would make when being attacked by a renegade hamster. She was positive halfbreeds were the only creatures in existence that could produce such a sound.
