YES!!! Lonzi should direct a production starring us!!!!! I would be ..... uh ..... someone with no solos. Unless I got private singing lessons every day, then I'd play Jemsi!!!! Because Jemsi be me ...... huzzah!!

School. Kills.

Insurance. Kills. I'm comming off my parents insurance once I graduate, and getting into the extension program is a jigsaw puzzle. Gotta love it.

But then I graduate!!! EE!!!!! I cannot WAIT for Thanksgiving break!!!! You are all invited to Colorado for turkey!

I am so uber excited about Thanksgiving!!! Good food, friends and family, no school for a little while, what could be better??

Jemsi already knows this, but I'll share it here: I saw Disney's new movie, A Christmas Carol, last night in 3D. I thought it was REALLY good. Kind of scary, especially for a Disney flick, but I really really enjoyed it. I recommend it to everyone!

QUITE SCARY!!!!! Which I'm not sure my mother cared for, but I'm glad that it was. The story is about a man's transformation, and the trails he goes through are supposed to be life altering. The life he leads will no doubt spiral into horror, and the film made this clear. I'm glad Disney didn't back down from theme.

The thing that drove me a little nuts was the special effects. They were fantastic, but too in the face and frequent. Yeah, the CGI is good, now I'm nausious. Haha.

My favorite thing was the language. They didn't dumb the dialogue down to modern day speech. They preserved Charle's Dicken's original language, making it a realistic period piece. I thought it was a bold move, I think most film would take the easy way out and pander to our present-day speech. EEE!!!

The more I think about it the more I want to see it again. It was a little too liberal with the special effects, but part of me really likes that smilie18.gif I love how the last ghost was a shadow, and the first was a candle, they were really cool... but the ghost of christmas present was the same as always (a big jolly guy), I was hoping they'd do him a little differently.

Now I'm FLIPPING OUT (in a really really good way) because I just found out that my favorite singer ever (Utada, who is freaking awesome) is touring in the US for the first/only time and will be in NYC, which I can get to! I'm so excited!!!!!

I've been dying to see A Christmas Carol! Now that I have your feedback, I will be sure to go.

How's everyone? (it's been a while.... unsure.gif ) But I still remember my favorite Jellicles. happy.gif

And also, you should all watch this. It's a high school's production of CATS. IT'S PHENOMENAL! Beautiful set and talented cast. I'm thinking it HAS to be a performing arts school, because no one else would be able to pull that show off. There are more vids, but this is just the opening. Misto is pretty good as well as Macavity, Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer...pretty much everything they've got posted. lol.

Oodles of love to all,

Franny (Mistolina)

By the way, I love your Dumbledore pic in your sig. I've used the picture in a 'quiz'. Click on the answer that says 'one' to see my favorite. biggrin.gif

That high school production looks really involved, what with everyone in character. I see a lot of high school productions where background people fall idly out of the play. Sometimes this isn't noticably because everyone is playing a person (in most plays), but in CATS, it's pretty obvious when someone isn't in the role. You have to stay in a foreign gesture/posture constantly! Truely a challenge.

I took that Harry Potter quiz. "I believe those shoes are out of season."

TMI content:

Break was pretty good. I saw New Moon, twice. It was hilarious, twice. Seriously, laugh-out-loud funny (but I have a strange sense of humor). the BEST parody is going to emerge from this film (we are bursting with ideas)

I also got to have a colonoscopy! Chronic hazard, yuck. So on Monday I had to fast, which wasn't very cool. But I rented a bunch of videos (Up, Dark Night, Newsies). Other than that, the actually proceedure went well. My colitus appears to be in remission again, yay! (erm ... I won't post a picture for this event)

Turkey was grand. We had my mom's old skating coach over and celebrated my mom's 54th birthday. Got some slippers, Something's Gotta Give (one of her favorite movies) and a fancy cake.

Now I'm in the process of getting in the Christmas spirit! It's not easy, as anyone in school can appreciate. We have a million exams and a million papers to turn in before we can even THINK about holiday gailah. But we must push through!!!

Jemsi you deserve an award for that post smilie18.gif

I could never put myself through New Moon, even once, for the sake of the lolz. It just so... weird...

My aunt's birthday was also on Thanksgiving! Birthday cake is so yummy.

And yeah, I won't be getting into the holiday spirit until my exams and papers and presentations are done D: Way too much work over the next two weeks!

One thing that was really cool though was when I was on the train, some girl went up to me and said she knew my brother from when they were camp counselors together a few years ago, and apparently she goes to the same college as me - small world, huh? So we spent the four-hour train ride talking and whatnot, which made the trip a lot more bearable than it usually is.

Hahaha, Lonzi is right Jemsi. That was spectacular :]

My Thanksgiving was pretty good. It was just at my mom's house with two other relatives, but it was nice and filling, as Thanksgiving should be!

I also have no interest in seeing New Moon, although I have heard about how funny it is because of it's terribleness. tongue.gif I can't justify spending money on a movie ticket for it, though, haha. I don't want to help the franchise and I don't earn enough dollars anyway!

I'm in the same boat as you are Alonzo! There is much to be done here. I just finished a research paper a few hours ago, and I have one more reflection paper and 4 one page article summaries due Friday, plus finals next week. So it's busy!

Ahh, that sounds nice! I know somebody else who took the train to get back up to school and she thought it was pretty awful. It's awesome that you got the chance to talk to that girl! :]
