Just noticed that I'm still at 1006 on Bios. Found a 1201 but not a lot of good reviews. What do I need or do I need anything? And where the hell can you download them? I don't want to "sign up" for 2 years of junk mail just to get a new bios.

What motherboard manufacturer are we talking about here? Which motherboard? Some BIOS updates are easier to download and flash than others. Details would help us to answer your question. ;)

If you have the ASUS boards, just go to their website and wade through the pages entering the information that they request, and you will be presented with a download area that has all the drivers, bios updates and anything else that they have for that motherboard. Select and download. It is free of charge, and I have not had them bother me with a membership or anything like that.

Then it has been a couple of months or more since I was there myself, maybeI should go and check it out and make sure no changes have been applied to the site.

ASUS P5K.
It's really easy to re-flash Mac, just wondering if I need to.
