hahaha well I guess I can see how you could have gotten it mixed up like that. luckily for you I'm here to help.
RPG: Role Playing Game. More well known games of this genre being Kingdom Hearts and the Final Fantasy series.
TBS: Turn Based Strategy. Quite a rarity now, more common back in flash games or games from 20 to 30 years ago. Most are quite similar to either a flashy cross between DnD and Chess, or a web browser game (like Nuke Zone) crossed with C&C. Games are often accidental put under this title due to the implanted fighting system of the game (ie Final Fantasy).
RTS: Real Time Strategy. Born from the need for more excitement, realism and a need to be challenged and forced to think on the fly. RTS games pretty much evolved from TBS games. Instead of waiting your turn to tell your individual 6 or 7 units what to do, in order, you were instead granted the freedom to establish a base, pump out units, gather resources and savagely smash your enemies face in all at the same time without having to stop and wait for their turn to be up. Popular game titles include the Age of Empires collection and the three C&C Universes (Red Alert, Tiberium and Generals).
in other news... I FINALLY GOT MY PREORDER OF RA3!!! sadly it actually requires your computer to have access to the net otherwise it won't let you run the actual game after you've gone through the trouble of installing it. Not to mention my computer needs to be ungraded just to reach the other minimum requires for the game. *sigh* at least I still have the game.
