As a sidenote, don't you think we should change the names for each division? I mean, the RPGP used those names, and RPGDuels is using them as well.

Psy.... actually has a very solid point. I'd say that's something that warrants discussion.

It has definitely come up before; especially since they're boxing divisions and tend to make people intuitively place "tank characters" like Odin in Heavy.
That said, with numerous suggestions (and I'm not sure if they were saved) we haven't come up with division names we can all agree on. I believe Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum was one suggestion. Also C/B/A/AA (in reference to amateur sports leagues). And...Mushroom/Flower/Star/Special (hey, even if it's a tad inappropriate I do remember it better than any other suggestion). At any rate, I'm seriously doubting we can come to a consensus before the start of *this* season, given how many times the debate has come up before. |

The metal one sounds fine. I know I, in my infinite chess nerdactiy, mentioned Pawn/Knight/Rook/King, but I think the metal one is better.

I prefer the G/H/M/L type descriptions. If we had to use new names, I would think the pseudo-synonyms of G/H/M/L would sound the best.

The problem with the old CoC divisions is that they're non-intuitive.
It's not immediately obvious that Champion is above Master. Challenger also doesn't sound wussy enough to be "Light". And...why those four in particular? Light/Middle/Heavy follows a simple pattern (wich Godlike being special...which is fine). Given one name you can roughly guess the others, which makes them more memorable. |

It isn't obvious which of Legendary or Elite is higher, and Novice implies a new fighter, not a weak one.
