Anyway, I'm happy about all the detail you put into the city. Have you, by chance, read the Pendragon series? In the second book, there is an underwater mountain that reminds me of this.
Back on topic: The brief history of the Jecxians and their mountain home was intriguing (sp?). So, now we know that barbarians took over the mountain somehow, perhaps through a secret entrence?
