Here: http://www.ratsit.se/BC/ReportSmall.aspx?I...oMz0ht50iQNqjKE shows a mini bio on Dursun. This reliable Swedish website shows all the living people in Sweden.

Rudolf Hagglund (10 September 1902 - May 2010) was on here this week, and he had been taken off this same week, because he died.

So each day that Dursun is on here, it's an update (meaning she is still alive)!

I think you are giving too much credit to that website. As we've seen with the GRG, some deaths are quickly reported, and others not. That some are quickly reported is NOT proof that all on Table E are still living, up to the very day or week.

Besides, that's not a real bio. There's no photo, there's no description of her life. It's just an entry.

She's never been directly mentioned in the press. She's probably just a paper case.

You mean a paper error case. Like Martini Colli, and Martha Thigpen?

That's not what "biography" means. Even a "mini-bio" needs to give some story of the person's life. It seems that the younger generation are just into "quick facts" but not so much into the synthesis of facts.

Here's my mini-bio:

http://gerontology.wikia.com/wiki/Robert_Young

Even this is bare-bones, but it gives some semblance of "where I came from" and "how I got to be where I am today."

A listing of residence and birthdate doesn't do that.

That is what **I** meant by it. I didn't say it was correct. Doesn't matter.

Any updates as to whether she's alive or if her birth date has been confirmed?

I think the website updates her age automatically without checking.
If she was genuine we would expect to see reports in the newspaper etc especially as she would be the only supercentenarian in Sweden.

She was recently mentioned as having a rather young daughter, born 1967 or 1969, so I think we can count her out.

Oh OK. Thanks, J_K. J_K, could you please stay here. I'm really sorry if what Brendan said before offended you. Brendan is sorry for his past comments as well. I and everyone else here genuinely thinks that you have valuable insight and large intelligence that would be greatly appreciated here on this forum.

Why is this in Top 10? She's not verified and thus should not be in the Top 10 section.

I do not believe this case is true.

And since she is not verified, and probably never will be, why is she in the top 10?

She should be in the 'Potential cases' section.

It can't be true if she had her daughter in her 60s, as she claims.

J_K,

You are talking about this section?

"Det finns två andra kvinnor, födda i utlandet, som är folkbokförda som födda 1899 respektive 1900, men de uppgifterna är omdiskuterade och inte styrkta. Den ena kvinnan har enligt Skatteverket en dotter född 1969, den andra har, enligt familjen, en dotter född 1967."

Just making sure that one of the two women mentioned indeed is about Saro Dursun? I did not see the connection (yet). Can you help?
