she's one of those "quiet" SCs with almost no news on her on the past few years. it's great at least we know she's still preety well at 113 =) |

There's a short but detailed biography of Dina in this newsletter published by the Iowa Geneaological Society in February 2012 (see pages 16-20). It portrays her as a consistently resilient person — working to support her family after her husband's illness and death, surviving colon cancer at age 101, still dancing at 103, still shoveling snow at 105 — and I hope her 115th birthday finds her as strong as ever. She may not be smiling in any of these photos, but I don't think that indicates a lack of kindness or energy.
