QUOTE (Donovan @ Apr 30 2012, 05:27 PM)
I wonder if there are any cases that made Table E without going onto the pending list. That is, since pending lists are updated monthly, are there any cases that were verified before their status of pending is made public (i.e. released on an update of Table EE)?

Try Antonia Gerena Rivera (born 19 May 1900).

You should find out by May 15 2012, when the next GRG Table EE (Pending Cases) update is due out.

No news?

Has table EE been updated yet? I checked it and it only shows updates for April but none for may. Really want to know what the verdict is on Mrs Holtz.

We are working on the Table EE May 15 update. May 15 is the cutoff for adding more cases, not the day that it goes on the GRG website. There is a difference.

Ok. Sorry for my impatience. I just really want to know whether Mrs Holtz was 115.

The jury is out. Augusta Holtz is officially pending as of the 15 May 2012 update.

On a personal note, I wouldn't get overexcited for the validation completion. I'll just wait it out.

I suppose its at least a good thing that she is pending. Will wait to see what they decide, but I hope she really was 115.

If i read correctly it seems that the GRG is going with the 1871 birthdate.

In my opinion, I would say with confidence that the search for all possible records for Augusta Holtz has been for the most part exhausted. We already have much more than what was possible to gather during her initial attempt to gain the record holder title in the 1980s.

Perhaps one of the final steps for this case would be to contact the family, which can be done through Augusta Holtz's family tree page on ancestry.com.

It could be as simple as her just being in queue for verification, as cases ahead of her eventually make way.

Of course all this is just my opinion, and perhaps there are other details involved, not mentioned here.

So is it decided that the ship manifest thing is a documenting mistake?

Perhaps. Perhaps not. Just wait for an update on the GRG pages.

And Robert will tell us more when the right time comes, it will be very good to see a true 115-year-old case getting verified!
