An extreme age claim from the United Arab Emirates. Today is not his actual birthday, but four years ago the above story was published that reported that his family were notified by the Al Ain Department of Naturalisation and Residency that he was the oldest living person in the UAE, according to their records. Strange, considering that he originally came from what is now Saudi Arabia. He recalls fighting in the battles that took place between King Abdul Aziz bin Abdurrahman bin Faysal Al Saud and the princes of the Hayel area in Saudi Arabia, in 1901. He also recalls fighting with Arab irregulars against the Ottoman Turks in 1916, during World War I. He was still living a Bedouin lifestyle in 2008.

A Chinese longevity claim now in limbo as the last report on him was in March 2008, although he had been reported on regularly since November 2004. In the last report he was noted as one of the 130 centenarians in Zhengzhou city, where he is the oldest living person, who could receive an increase in the age subsidy to 200 yuan a month. He was an early participant in the Chinese Revolution having been a soldier in the New Fourth Army, at Zhengzhou.

Potential future supercentenarian. A former teacher and devout Catholic, she was involved in fundraising for Catholic charities and devoted her life to caring for her parents. She is resident in the Danygraig Nursing Home in Newport (Welsh: Casnewwydd), in the south of Wales.
