Title: Centenarian twins
Description: on the rise?

SiameseTurtle - December 7, 2011 06:06 PM (GMT)
The UK has had 17 sets of centenarian twins (including Celina Bush and Victorine Donvel, who are Belgian but Celina lives in the UK).

The latest set of twins are Florence Davies & Glenys Thomas (report on their 99th birthday: http://www.campaignseries.co.uk/news/86880...99th_birthday/), who Melissa has confirmed are still alive.

Here are the years of birth of the UK's twins:
1873
1886
1886
1900
1901
1904
1905
1906
1906
1907
1908
1908
1909
1910
1910
1911
1911

We've gone from having 3 sets of twins from the 1870s-90s, to 10 in the 1900s, and to 4 so far in the 1910s (and we're only 20% of the way through). Seems to me that they're increasing at a very rapid rate.

How come there are no 1890s twins?
