On the eastern slopes of the Mountains of the Moon, not far north of the Grey Hills, lies the Rose Fields. Here, in the middel of a field of white roses, stands a large and old Oak. A very old Oak. In fact, it is no Oak, but a large chunk of Essence in the shape of an Oak. Now, you say, why has no one ever taken that Oak and used the powerful Omnicolour that it contains? The answer is simple, the Oak is alive.
Many times have people attempted to take some of the Oak's essence, but they have all failed. The Oak is a deity, a powerful deity. It uses a broad range of magical energies to overcome any foul creatures that dare to treat upon the Rose Fields. Thus the white roses are one of the most valuable things in the world of Meht. They grow nowhere else. In the history of the world, some however, have succeeded into stealing one or more White Roses from the fields. These immortal roses have been held as trophies and have been the cause of more than one war. On this day, the owners of White Roses can be counted on one hand. The Darmoní prince wears a crown adorned with a White Rose, the Dwarven stadtholder of Khun-nador has his great sword inlaid with the petals of a White Rose. The staff of the mysterious Archii Sehnnith the Grey has the essence of three White Roses in it. Lastly, during the smelting of the Orb of Myarhul, a White Rose was thrown into the melted gold, giving the gold an almost unnatural glow. This Orb is still in the hands of the King of Myarhul. |
