Midnight sat on top of the tallest skyscraper looking down over the town, she remained in her gigai form allowing her to be seen by the common hummans of downtown Tokyo. Gazing over into the sky watching the sun rise and color the simple morning clouds a light shade of pink and orange. Hey favorite part of the day.
Many times would she enjoy coming to the world of the living, just to watch this lovely sight. She left Soul Society in the wonderful care of her trusted captaina, hoping that they would be able to handle the boredom that came with the job. She loved the feel of freedom.
She fingered the skull shape on the back of her glove and sighed loudly throwing her arms in the air. "Aghh~! is there really nothing to do in either world than fight, fight and fight some more?!" she yelled loudly in frustration. Since the building was so tall, no one was able to hear her yell, but she was not talking to anyone in particular. Her own mental agument that couldn't be resolved.
Midnight cringed inwardly as the stress in her body built up. Perhaps in her old age she was ready to retire. She smiled at the thought. Shinigami could never retire from their job. It was a job till the death. Then again, as a shinigami, she wasn't even that old. More hyperactive, but still, that was what made people enjoy being around her.

"Well, that's just how things are. These days, we're lucky to get anything else besides boredom, whether it's Seireitei, Rukon, or the world of the living. Wouldn't you say, Captain Midnight?"
Sendo Kentachi had been sitting atop the skyscraper spire probably for ten minutes before, still in his Soul Reaper attire, his Zanpaku-to hanging from his side, a pen in his left hand, papers on his lap, scribbling away. Sendo often liked using daytime as a form of getting early ideas down before they flew away.
Ironic, apparently, as a wind gust blew the papers away from him.
"Gah!"
Sendo leapt from his perch in a bid to retrieve them, but to no avail as the wind carried them away to the city below. However, given that he had leapt forward, he was now over the edge of the building, falling fast.
"Oh, shoot!"
Putting his pen in his mouth, he pulled out his Zanpaku-to and thrust it into the building face, wincing as he slowed to a stop about four feet down from the edge. It was then just a simple matter to head through the window and join her by heading up the stairs. No one would've noticed a thing...except his captain, maybe.

Midnight took into account that Sendo, a person in her first division, had spoken to her addressing what she had spoken out loud. She giggled and turned around, no longer feet dangling off the side of the skyscraper. "Boredom is never luck, but a misconception for time we could be using much more usefully. But when your one of us, a shinigami, you acquire nothing but time on your hands." she blabbed in an Indian style position on the edge of the building.
Midnight watched as the pieces of paper he had been jotting down on flew into the air and down the side of the very tall object they we on. She glanced off the edge as he leapt, oh so skillfully, off the top of the building and realized his mistake a bit late. Midnight fought the light tugging at the corner of her mouth, suppressing that hysterical laughter waiting to come out.
When Sendo reached the top of the building once again, Midnight had a stern look on her face. "Try not to deface to human worlds' buildings. Clean up is only difficult if you all make it difficult." she said in a shaky voice. The entire time she had been trying so hard, not to bust out laughing but it was too difficult not too. She finally gave in. She turned away to laugh her heart out at the sight of him falling off the building.

Sendo let the rebuke roll right off of him. Honestly, it was just a small gash on the side of a building about sixty stories up. Who'd notice?
That's when he noticed that Captain Midnight had burst out laughing at his mishap. Another reason why he didn't do well around leaders. He folded his arms, an annoyed look on his face.
"Yeah, thanks a lot," he said, sheathing his Zanpaku-to rather forcefully. Then, adopting the voice of some guy named Xemnas, he said, "I will have to be sure and remember that."
For someone who was a full millenia older than he was, she couldn't keep a straight face long enough after losing his yarns to the wind.
"I guess it's true that when you get old, the mind's the first to go," he said, back in his voice again.

"Well, last I saw Captain Raikou, he was in the middle of meditating on the roof," Sendo said. "One of his division...Starlight, I think, nearly fell off the roof, but he caught her right easy. I was on my way to weave some more yarns as it happened, but after they left, I felt I needed a change of scenery."
Sendo had drawn his Zanpaku-to, thumbing the back edge, savoring in the feel of sharpened steel under his hand...
Being unseen by normal humans made Sendo feel a little eerie. Like something was out of place. Well, it helped to the fact that Sendo was a Soul Reaper, but that was a bit of a moot point. However, his eyes were strolling over the street, watching for any Hollows. A little action was always welcome for him...

”What a great feeling!” A red flash erupted upon the dormant roads and side streets of downtown Tokyo, gouging a boundless flurry of energy through its barren slumber. Fudo sat braced in his Gagai body, his lips formed in a curve of ecstasy as his eyes buzzed from the rush of his vivid red, custom motorbike. The wind coursed through his untamed hair igniting it whilst the lengthy tails danced intricate patterns in his wake. Grasping dearly to his shoulder, a petite lion monkey whose golden mane rivalled the intensity of Fudo’s. To any early bystander this duo would truly appear enraged, slaves to lunacy.
Fudo had been assigned to this part of Tokyo for 2 weeks now: a mediocre attraction of living spirit force had proved enough temptation to greedy Hollows. Initially Fudo was elated to get some action that he so rarely received but so greatly deserved. Unfortunately the prospect failed to rise to his expectation and he found little challenge in the opponent. Therefore to pass the time and bring some sustenance to this period he engulfed himself in his favourite living pastime – speed. The only reason this bare headed adrenaline deviant hadn’t been retained by the police was due to his unlawful use of the memory chikan – after all Hisa was the only higher being aware of his misdeeds.
As he flung his bike around a junction, scarcely shaving a lamp post, a strong presence compressed every limit of his Gagai body, ensuing in a premature halt to avert crashing. The rich stench of burning rubber contorted his nose as his recuperating foot clamped the ground, tracing the bikes anarchic drift. His head attentively adjusted to the direction from which the impressive force had emitted. “Captain? Sendo…they are paying us a visit Hisa!” He declared intrepidly to the staggering monkey upon his shoulder who managed to reply in her usual adorable, squeaky tone: “Whatever you say Fu-Fu”. Fudo ripped back the handle bars and erupted toward his comrades, neglecting Hisa’s statement.
He speedily manoeuvred a blind corner, realising the Reitsu resided above him he hastily brought the bike to a stop. He dismounted, Hisa descended to the ground as he did so. Carelessly tracing his scalp with his fingers he proceeded toward the entrance of a gargantuan skyscraper in a leisurely manner only to hang a foot in suspense as warning bells alarmed in his mind. As his gaze lazily drifted to the floor he uttered a silent praise for his intuition whilst he stooped and gathered a humus of scattered pages from the ground. “What’s that?” Hisa’s voice chirped from his shoulder as he entered the ground floor of the skyscraper “Sendo’s yarns” He replied in a mocking tone, cropping an amused eyebrow to Hisa’s befuddled face. Setting the pages away in his mind Fudo effortlessly found the labyrinth of stairways heading to the roof of the building and without hesitation darted up the staircase.
A triumphant, heavy-breathed Fudo crashed from the rooftop door 9 minutes later, collapsing to the ground as the fresh air hit him. His face wore a sweaty, crimson red mask that matched the richness of his hair. Hisa padded out carelessly after him and sat contently upon his head uttering the last words of a question as she did so. He quickly whipped her from his head and pierced her with a scornful look “This Gagai form gives me more of a challenge than those measly Hollow’s, that is why!” Hisa returned to Fudo’s shoulder as he got to his feet, scanning the roof top for his comrades “So why we up here ‘gain?” Hisa inquired as she probed the scenery with a blank expression. “Baka! Captain Midnight and Sendo of course, they came to visit me so I may as well meet them to save the bother” Hisa slapped her palm into her face and hoped onto her brothers head “Who are you calling Baka? Didn’t you feel them leave earlier?” Fudo’s face sunk as if about to melt off, a spark of anger quickly igniting within him that was relayed in the furious twitching of his eyebrow. He burst from his Gagai body, now adorned in his unusual Shinigami garment, dismissive of whether the empty shell apprehended Hisa. Within seconds he detected their Reitsu and set off at a fiery pace toward them as his hot temper ignited within his eyes, in the distance Hisa squealing form him to calm down.
In very little time the black figures of his commanding officer and comrade were unmistakable against the placid golden backdrop of the sky. However the depths of Fudo’s being were not so serene but instead raged like a violent sea. Now just a block away from the poorly mannered duo, Fudo’s hands grasped his dual sword Zanpaktou. As his fingers collided with the gentle, compelling hilts an overwhelming sensation engulfed his hands as the word “Kakihira” erupted from his venomous mouth. His hands burst into malevolent flames and as he flew into the air he roared “Kajoukakiken!” The fire from his hands quickly congregated within the center of his palms forming ferocious spheres which he launched at Midnight and Sendo. “Baka!” He yelled at the top of his lungs “As you’ve come to visit me, what logic results in me chasing you all around Tokyo!?”

Kajoukakiken (Spiraling Fire Sphere): Once having performed Kakihira Fudo withdraws the Reitsu from most of his hand and concentrates it in a ball in the middle of his palm. This contains and manipulates the fire from Kakihira. To stabilize it and ensure its lasting he creates a spinning force on the sphere. He can then slam Kajoukakien into something or fire it for up to 10 feet – it isn’t much of an offensive attack, its purpose to remain spinning in the area of impact and propel the enemy, keeping them restrained. One those with frail Reitsu it can obviously do some damage but never fatal.

Sendo stopped as a red motorcycle whipped right past him. Kids these days...after living in the Soul Society for a while, things really did have a tendency to change for those living in it.
Sendo caught up with his CO, but was quickly stopped as something barreled right at him...sounded like fire.
"Get down!" he pushed Captain Midnight to the ground, and drew his blade, ducking as a fireball whizzed over his head. Then his battle sense took over, and he charged whoever shot it, declaring, "Bakudo, Number One...SAI!" as he placed two fingers on him.
Getting up, he found it was another Soul Reaper. Fudo Enkou, one of his comrades.
"Nice work, soldier," he said sarcastically, pointing his blade at the Soul Reaper's nose. "That'll teach you to try and strike a commanding officer."

(This is kinda fun. This is the first character with this personality I have used :S. I should explain my over use of "Baka" its a word for idiot (and other similar phrases) in Japanese but Fudo uses the exact word "Baka" rather than some variants and that is why I include it)
Fudo landed forcefully upon the sidewalk and crossed his arms in an abashed manner as he observed Sendo unnecessarily dodging the Kajoukakiken whilst taking out Captain Midnight with him – What a mistake. Opening his mouth to voice his opinions he was momentarily surprised to find his jaw locked, then realizing upon Sendo’s words that he had been placed in a Binding Kido. As expected of any Shinigami, rookie or seated, he leisurely shrugged off the bind and began his bout again. But before a mere whisper had even parted from Fudo’s mouth Sendo’s Zanpaktou tip fell to his nose…
"Nice work, soldier, that'll teach you to try and strike a commanding officer."
”Baka” This thought resounded over and over in Fudo’s head as he remained motionless in mockery of Sendo, after all it was probably the only source of positive self-esteem he could draw from. He basked momentarily in his glorious triumph as he moved to flick away Sendo’s sword only to be blocked by his Captain who constrained Sendo’s taunt, forcing him to back off. Fudo’s face ignited with a malicious mockery, every fiber of his gargantuan ego brimming upon his crescent smile and quivering eyes. This egotistical ecstasy was short-lived, as his Captain, whom although he rarely showed it, respected deeply.
"You know he's right, you can get in a lot of trouble doing stuff like that. Also, who said anything about visiting you? We're on patrol the same as you are. So obviously there is no logic in chasing us all over Tokyo now is there?"
Fudo’s eyes were captured for an instant, sorely hung in ignominy. True to his nature, this tiny blotch of ridicule was soon engulfed in his buoyant nature as his face brimmed with his irrepressible arrogance, a manic laugh erupting from his mouth. Astonishingly Sendo’s next remark marked no deterrent upon Fudo’s smile but did further to expand its ridges, but a hint of malice lingering in its curves. Hisa was trembling with grief upon his shoulder, maybe with grief or perhaps because she knew what kind of person her brother was. His eyes pierced constantly upon Sendo, his hand now reaching within his robes and gingerly fingering his ‘yarns’. He dashed after Sendo, effortlessly leveling with him, confidence ringing like a demon in his eyes. “You talk as if higher then me Kentachi, but still we are of equal rank… Maybe you can prove your worth with a fight…” He uttered calmly, ridicule laced in his voice as he withdrew Sendo’s ‘yarns’ “for these!”

Fudo’s stern glare upon Sendo failed to falter as the two companions remained side by side. He realized instantly what was coming as soon as Sendo let slide a agitated sigh. "Ah, those are worthless to me, you can keep 'em if you want." Fudo eyes shook furiously for some seconds before he released a sigh rivaling that of Sendo’s. “In all the time I’ve known you, Sendo Kentachi, I have not once witnessed you disregard your yarns. How disappointing that of all the spirits a Shinigami shows such cowardice,” As Fudo talked his head drifted up into the sky, a musing curve attaining his lips as his eyes wandered aimlessly around Sendo’s face. “No choice!” With this he discarded the yarns into the air and in a lightning motion burst his dual Zanpaktou from their sheaths and drew the blades upwards toward the scattering yarns.
However shreds of Sendo’s yarns did not descend like snowfall upon the urban street, instead suspended in air by the flat of Fudo’s blades. He bowed his head to Sendo, a pleasant smile gracing his face, a rare expression adopted by Fudo. “I have no need for these”. Sheathing his blades he now leaned absently against a graffiti splashed wall, his eyes drifting inattentively from Sendo to Captain Midnight, whilst doing so his brow burrowing somewhat. “Captain, why is somebody of your stature doing on a mundane patrol as this?” He asked quizzically, his face illuminating with humor as he began his next statement “These Hollow’s pose so little strength, even our gutless Sendo could put up a fight” He howled with content at his pun, delivering a light-hearted slap to Sendo’s back.
