Administrator Group: Admin Posts: 66 Member No.: 1 Joined: 8-May 09	*the educational decrees,* a.k.a., the rules *educational decree no. 1* all students and adults wishing to attend The Prophecy Lives must register with a first, middle, and last name, with proper capitalization. failure to do so will result in apropriate edits made by an administrator so that the student may be sorted into their apropriate hous e and the adult may recieve their apropriate job title. *educational decree no. 2* all students and adults will fill out an applica tion in order to be allowed to post in the claim areas, character areas, and all rp areas. before the se students and adults are sorted, they may only po st in the OOC areas. each student and adult will ha ve a total of three days to finish their application once it is submitted for sorting. if your application has not been completed within one week, without an absence report, it will be moved to the archives. an ad min will revive your application by request. educational decree no. 3 when role playing, all students and adults will restrain themselves from god modding, or other wise controlling the other persons character with out permission, avoiding all peril, excetera. posting requirements stand at a minimum of one well-formed paragraph. it is understand able that we will all have off days, and this requirement is set to avoid one liners and wimpy little posts. educational decree no. 4 all students and adults will maintain the utmost respect to their administrators, moderators, fellow members and guests when out of character. racial slurs, jokes, stereotyping, and offensive language will not be tolerated. this extends not only to the OOC posting areas, but the CBox as well. no adver tising or spam in the CBox, please. this should be a given, simple rule to follow. educational decree no. 5 here at The Prophecy Lives, we don't have a limit on how many characters each person is allotted. we do, however, ask that for every two females you create, you make one male. this keeps the male/female ratio nice and even. also, don't make ten characters if you can only keep up posting for five. activity is a must, and activity checks will be done at random, consisting at least once every month. expect this and prove your activity with an active thread if you wish to keep your account. if you will be gone or suspect you will be gone for an extended period of time, please allow the staff and members to know by posting in the absences forum so we don't go worried sick about you, and your account won't go poof!. nobody wants that. educational decree no. 6 please be respectful to JK Rowling and the Harry Potter universe. this being said, if you wish to be a vampire, one, you must have an impressive app lication, and two, it must be believable. this means that we don't want any twilight-esque vampires, wolfs, or characters, period. you wouldn't see some one signing up as harry james potter on a twilight site, so we don't wanna see any isabella marie swans or edward anthony cullens on The Prophecy Lives. educational decree no. 7 when making your character, we don't wanna see peter perfect or mary sue walking around the site. no character is perfect, so don't make them out to have the softest skin, the prettiest eyes, the most gorgeous figure or the most wonderful hair. you will be denied faster than you can say erumpet horn, and that's no exaggeration. even the boy who lived has many flaws! educational decree no. 8 The Prophecy Lives is an Beginners role play site, as we do understand that you gotta start somewhere. please note that we are an adult content site, where sex, drugs and rock n' roll does and will happen. please be cons iderate to other members, and, if your thread is going to push the envelope, put � in your thread title/descri ption. it'll save us all a little time if we don't wanna read on all that jazz. educational decree no. 9 last but not least, have fun! that's what role playing is all about, isn't it? its important that you don't forget that here, because we here at The Prophecy Lives love to have us some fun, both in character and out of character! also, you'd probably like to know that the password to the application forum is hopscotch. yeah, you may need that in the near future. =] issued by blythe, a.k.a. ``rainbow snowflakes at CAUTION 2.0 just note that if you remove the credit, she'll avada kedavra your arse. =] oh, and of course, enjoy the rules!
