It was probably the nicest day of the year, the snow falling subtly from the clear, dark blue sky. The snow piled up on the ground everywhere up to about two feet. All of the trees lost their leaves and snow lay on the branches of each tree. The Ever Greens were weighed down with fluffy snow. Every river was layered with a thick layer of ice that could pretty much hold up anything. There were a few trees that had fallen down and were covered in so much snow, you wouldn't notice it was a tree trunk.
It was late at night and there was no sound made. Every little critter was either in its burrow, nest, or den. Except for one. Sitting next to a river with trees surrounding it, was a white coated creature. The tips of his ears were black, and so was a thin stripe that ran down from the top of his head, down to his nose. He sat there, calmly, not waiting, or looking at anything in particular. He just sat there, enjoying the beauty of nature and its wonders. He was not like most wolves, he was wise at times, but he knew how to have some fun. He didn't show his fun side very much at all. He kept quiet a lot. His golden orbs, which were surrounded with black fur, explored the sights around him. He kenw how to make the best of the simplest things. For years he collected all kinds of books and read them all. He loved reading and he espically loved books with potions. He has made many potions in his years that cured many things. But he also make potions for other things, like battles. No one ever knew what he had up his sleeve, but he always had something. Around his neck hung an odd shaped rock that had a tiny hole in it that a long peice of string looped around it and around his neck. He never knew what it was quite for, even though he looked through many, many books to find out about it.His father had given it to him when he was young. His father had said "Take this...and take good care of it. Don't let it out of your sight...it's special. It was mine when I was young". He tried to ask what it was for for years, but his father had just tried to avoid answering his questions. But sometimes he would give up hope in finding what it was for, which wasn'tke him. But someday, he had a feeling, he would find out. As he sat there on the edge of the river bank, he looked up in the sky and wondered if he would ever find his father again. He ended up getting split up from his fater when he was young. He longed to find him. He always was happy when he thought of his father, but he felt a pain in his boby when ever he thought of how he was split up with him. No one would ever take place or even be similar to his father. No one could. His father was the one who raised him as a pup. His mother was killed when he was a year old, when she was trying to protect him from Akando, a wolf covered in fur as black as his soul. He would go around and try to take over clans and families of wolves. Maybe something happened to him when he was really young that left a scar for life, but Akando killed his mother. He remembered him mother really well, which pained him a lot. He never liked talking about his mother or his father because of the pain he felt. But sometimes, he would be happy thinking about them when he had time to his self. Something stopped his train of thought and he jumped up, looking around. Across the river, stopped in his trails, stared back a white and gray rabbit. He smiled and sat back down where he was. The rabbit settled down and hopped along. His bushy fur blew along with the wind, as he enjoyed the silence of the night. -------------------- Love what is ahead by loving what has come before.
