At this moment the most logical teams would be: Open, u2000, u1600 and u1400.

I am going to delete Babaschess in a couple of weeks so I won't be online anymore during the day. (in the evening I will at home because I will have internet connection now). I no longer intend to be captain of any team but I will be the deputy for all of our teams by means of backup. Allow me to make a suggestion for the captains in all sections:

Open: Drinkeh
U2000 or U1800: Aneirin
U1600: Eendavid
U1400: Thefourthhorseman

I think these players have most experience. There task will be to make sure newcomers do everything according to the rules (ex. kibitz off, silence on,..) and they are responsible for the lineups. I will do the double checking. Last TL we did it the other way around and that got us into trouble now and then ..
The motivational tasks I think are also important. Advertise about your team to other players. This way more games will be watched/analysed and I think this will benefit in a large number of ways to the joy of internet chess.

Well would you look at that, nice club we're getting together here. I'll be glad to be our Open captain, not sure I'll play in U2000 as well though.

The idea is by the way that Hithlium would be our first board in the Open section, I'm sure he'll have to rating to justify that position - if not, keep in mind you can swap players in lineup if they're less than 50 points appart (and this for the rest of the tournament), so that we can still adapt things a little if it'd make someone feel more comfortable about his/her board number.



Update: I had a chat with Darkvision moments ago, he's played in TL before and had some bad experiences with cheaters. He'll therefore prefer not to play in such tournaments anymore.

We might do some advertising for U1600. I've just messaged Ianicevich for the second time, I hope he responds this time..
We would definitely need a 1750 for the first board and maybe another spare player in case Freefal doesn't show up anymore..

Idea: Maybe look for players who compete in STC. I messaged Alikosechin for example.

Looking ahead:

Open section: I think we have a very promising team here. Maybe the first board will be a bit difficult but the other boards could make up for some brilliant battles.

U2000 or U1800: This team could be in U1800 but then I think Volgjeneus will have to sink back to 1750. U2000 can be interesting too of course it will be more difficult to obtain a win for the team but all games should be interesting.

U1600: With a new strong first board I think we have a champion in the make. I think the title will depend on how much eendavid will improve in the upcoming months

U1400: I think all worthy boards. At first sight not a champions team but we have a lot of players who are showing strong progress. I think every board will have a good shot at victory so they could end up very good!

If necessary I could join u1400 as well. I'll have a look at it next week. It depends whether there will be a second team. I also suggest that Andrejas would be the captain of that team. I think he has read most of the player manual so he can do it. I will keep an eye..
