The girls put up a spirited performance playing the better football throughout the game.

Town fell 2-0 down, however a goal in the 1st haf and start of the 2nd by Joanne Thompson drew the team level.

However Whitehaven grabbed 2 goals late on to advance to the next stage of the county cup.
