At the supporters club meeting it was decided that we should try and get Sponsor a goal up and running.
If someone last season had sponsored every goal at 50p a goal it would have cost them about £55 by the end of the season. If 40 fans had agreed to do that you can see how much money would be generated for the club.
It is hoped that we can get this up and running for the coming season.
Now, no need to worry, and think I can't afford that much money.
If you don't think you can sponsor every goal, there are untold alternatives that you can sponsor.
If you have a favourite player, sponsor every goal he scores.
If you had sponsored Taylor last season at £1 per goal, it would have cost you less than £20
The list of what you can sponsor is almost endless, but here are some examples ;
Sponsor every goal scored by Kendal in all competitions.
Sponsor every goal scored by a named player.
Sponsor every clean sheet kept by Kendal.
Sponsor every hatrick.
Sponsor every game where Kendal score more than 3 goals.
Sponsor every goal from the penalty spot.
Sponsor every goal in the first ( or second ) half of a game.
In short, you think of it, and I will take your sponsorship for it. You can even put a maximum amount that you are willing to sponsor. When you reach your maximum, I will let you know and collect your money.
You can start on this forum, or come up to me at any game and let me know what you want to sponsor. It is also hoped that we can get sponsorship forms in the programmes of the first few home games.
Kendal Town had a very good season last year. To keep that up, more money needs to be put into the club, and as supporters, we cannot sit back and just hope that one man will keep doing that. It is up to us, the life blood of the club, to at least try and help to take this club to next level
As this was my idea, I will happily put my name in the frame to statrt the ball rolling.
£1 for every clean sheet in all competitions next season.
£1 for every hatrick scored by any Kendal Town player in all competitions.
I will also sponsor a players goals, when I know who will still be with us. I will post that here as well so you can all see how much it is racking up.
Robert will sponsor £1 for every goal Taylor scores in all competitiions.
My wife, who knows nothing about football, says she will sponsor £1 for every game Kendal wins, in all competitions. ( funny feeling I know who might be paying for that sponsorship at the end of the day )
If Ashy of Killer happen to read to this forum, I have a suggestion to put to you and players about this as well. You'll like it, but not a lot !!!
So there you are, it up to every supporter, to decide how far they want to try and help take this club. SPONSOR SOMETHING !!!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

As long as it's not every goal scored by Newnes, we should be on a winner.

Well I managed to weedle 50p for every goal Kendal scores at the Parkside Rd end from Glynn. So we are up and running. Lets hope every goal we score at home comes at that end.
Lee Ashcroft will sponser £10 for every game Kendal fail to score a goal.
Well done Ashy, lets hope you don't have much to pay at the end of the season.
Ian Kilford will sponser £10 for every red card handed out to a Kendal player this season. Not sure if Ashy has told Killer about that one yet.
What we need now is for the rest of the fans to think up something they would like to sponser, and the money for the club can soon mount up.
Come on lads and lassies, you know it makes sense !!!!

I'll go for:

£1 for every goal scored by Danny Wisdom (talented youngster with a great attitude),
£1 for every goal scored by Warren Beattie (very impressed with him last night), and
£1 for every goal scored by Carl Osman (well, I am an Evertonian....)

And just to show you how serious i am about the supporters club, i will also take the following;
£1 on every goal me old mate Tony Hallam scores; jumpbanana.gif
50p on every goal by a defender that's £1.50 if tony scores. jumpbanana.gif
£2 on every card under 50 points ( redcard.gif two points yellow one point)
£3 if this is achieved including Callum and Bernie lol.gif niceone.gif lol.gif
50p every goal parkside road end. winner.gif

There i have laid down the gauntlet now let's see if the team can take it up.

While my £100 pledge per certain event which I'm not going to mention on here (might seem a tad harsh!!) will not be a serious one, I will go for

£1 per clean sheet kept by Kendal, assuming I actually have an income some time in the next year - jobseekers doesn't count!!

BUT we need a whole lot more supporters to get involved in this.

Having come back from a two week holiday, I was really expecting to see a lot more pledges for this. Can I just remind you that this could be a very good way of generating much needed money for the club.
Can I assume that all the fans who have not sponsored anything, will not start saying that the club should be doing anything that involves the club in spending money. If we as fans don't show any interest in at least trying to take the club forward, why should anyone else at the club think they should put their hand in their pocket.
Thers is still 2 weeks till the season starts, you think of something you want to sponsor, and I will happily add you to the list.

I am keen to do the idea that you had, just delayed it as i wasn't sure what I was going to sponsor.

However stick me down for £1 on every clean sheet that David Newnes keeps

Richard

Whilst gratuity of that staure is always welcome, we can not condone those kind of activities. However, I will bet/sponsor (for now) for who can name the game of the last (and probably only) time there was a streaker at a Kendal/Netherfield home competative game. Every loser pays £5. First winner, gets £5!

After the first 8 games the Sponsorship total stands at £101.
For all of you who have sponsored something, well done.
For all the rest, now is the time to sponsor. We can get the total up and really start to get some money for the club.
Doddle. I really dont think you can sponsor a player who hasn't even joined the club !!!!!
