hondal - June 11, 2012 09:02 PM (GMT)
A number of clubs are announcing new signings and retained players etc, are we any nearer knowing the make up of our squad or is the budget problem still causing delays?

Lee likes to see the players pre-season before announcing signings.

joew - June 11, 2012 10:41 PM (GMT)
Can he announce who has left, or has the whole squad said they are staying. :oops

Any news?

joew - June 18, 2012 09:42 PM (GMT)

No news on here.
Nothing on the official site since 25th May.
Must be the quietest summer for a long time, or is there just no interest ?
As the club keep saying it wants/needs to increase its fan base, strange way to treat its fans. Certainly not the way to generate new interest.
Maybe Lee does not want us to know anything, or is waiting to see how many turn up.

well still no news from the club well il tell u carl osman has signed for st helens town

joew - June 21, 2012 06:04 PM (GMT)

If the fans show the same amount of interest in what been happening as would sem to be the case on this and the official site, there could 7 men and a dog watching the Dundee game.
Absolutely no reason why the club cannot announce who has left the club.
Was looking forward to the Dundee game, but may do something interesting like wash my hair.

rsefitpro2007 - June 22, 2012 12:23 PM (GMT)

ade - June 22, 2012 12:48 PM (GMT)
im nt sure bwt that but wot ive seen dont think hes happy!

rsefitpro2007 - June 22, 2012 03:42 PM (GMT)
I am sure I read that he had signed up for another year?. we could do with an update from the club as into whats happening for 2012.

The clubs usually very good at communicating with it's supporters (well they have been in the time I have followed them).

I suspect we will hear more, when the players return to pre season training!

Looking forward to the pre season games with Dundee and then Carlisle!, I will be interested too see what sort of team Ashy will put out in those matches!

ade - June 22, 2012 04:22 PM (GMT)
yeah hopefuly there wil b sum gud signings to see if not it will b a long hard season!

joew - June 22, 2012 06:58 PM (GMT)

With no money coming in from The Park, I think we all have to accept that the wages on offer this season are going to be far less than they were at the statrt of last season. I fear a lot of the players may find that what they are being offered is some way short of what they wanted/expected. I really hope I am wrong but I can see a number of them leaving KTFC. If that is the case, Ashy will need to find players willing to play for whats on offer, and that may well mean they are either youngsters looking for first team exposure, or players who might not have got in the side over the last couple of years. I really really hope I have got it completely wrong, but I think this could be a long hard season, and the talk will not be about getting into the playoffs, but of staying outside the dreaded drop zone. For the three people who run The park, and who profess to have the wellbeing of the cclub at heart this is the strangest way to show it. How they can justify handing over £600 to the club for the whole of last season is nothing short of an insult
Unless the club can come up with some way of either ;
a) getting them to see sense and pay their rent
B) coming up with a way to get them out of The park
c) find an alternative source of income
then this coming season could be very difficult.
I am hoping that the lack of news either her or on the official site is because they are having to wait and see what players are willing to play for the reduced wages on offer. Could be a lot of new faces at the pre season games out on the pitch.

Craig Dootson, Marc Joseph, Danny Williams are on contract. Ashy said at presentation evening that George Melling and Kevin Leadbetter are staying. The new players will be all on trial pre season after impressing in the reserves set up.

joew - June 24, 2012 10:03 PM (GMT)

Dont know anything about the new players, but kind of worrying that the likes of Wisdom. Dunn, Taylor are not among the players listed as staying. These players will need to be replaced if indeed they have moved on. If they have gone then I wish them all the best, and they have served KT well, but there are some big boots to fill in their positions. Guess we will just have to hope that Ashy can unearth some new diamonds. But with the complete lack of news from the club, I suppose it depends if you see your cup half full or half empty.

Chelsea - June 24, 2012 11:15 PM (GMT)

I can't post news that I don't know.

rsefitpro2007 - June 25, 2012 09:28 AM (GMT)
This ongoing issue with the Park, is really holding things up.

How can the club progress on and off the pitch whilst this issue is still unresolved. I appreciate the club are doing everything they can to sort this out and they are trying their best.

I feel sorry for Ashy and the team, how can he bring in the players he wants under such circumstances!

If Ashy has to work with what hes got , then so be it, let's give these guys a chance!

Chelsea - June 25, 2012 12:41 PM (GMT)

There will be more information available after tomorrow night. As you wil appreciate Craig has just become a father for the first time. Haydon has been away. I have been renewing programme adverts and we have been constantly trying to resolve The Park issue.

cammy - June 25, 2012 01:55 PM (GMT)
Just spoke to Ashy and I can confirm that all the players from last season are staying, apart from Ossie who has taken up a player coaching role at St Helen's Town. We wish Ossie all the best.
As you can appreciate Ashy has got a few new faces coming down to training and does not want to release there names until they have signed on the dotted line. Ashy has told me that he will be putting a squad together to improve on last season and push for a top 8 finish.
Next Tuesday is the first training session and more news will be released then.

ade - June 25, 2012 02:25 PM (GMT)
thanks cammy

Cheers for the update!

Donkeys in a storm - June 25, 2012 09:56 PM (GMT)
I am sure that all will agree that is good news, we have the basis of a great squad, that Ashy can build on.
