Surrounded by magnetized wires, and mines, this place is a deathtrap for any machines that wander in. This is set somewhere west of Los Angeles.

Showing this place to have possibly been and ex-military base, there are several forms of combat aircraft here, including A-10s.

Guarded by HK-Tanks that are designed to blow away anything not belonging, this is the outskirts of Skynet's new base. The new base is located somewhere north of San Francisco, though where exactly is still unknown. Many sources indicate that it may be Seattle itself.

The internal structures of the base that are exposed to the elements. This includes Transport landing sites, and the "cattle pens" used to herd humans captured for their stem cells. The compound is guarded by T-600s.

Previously one of the most populated ares of the USA, and currently one of the most decimated because of it. This includes such places at the ruins of New York City, Manhattan, New Jersey, and Washington D.C.

Mainly farmland, though not much is left anymore, this is also where most nuclear missile silos were located in the US. Places found here include Chicago, Kansas City, Denver, and the Rocky Mountains.

Known for the states surrouding the Gulf of Mexico, and for once being the Confederate States of America, places it is known for include the Southern Applacian mountains, Atlanta, Florida, Texas, and Lousiana.

One of the places hit hardest by nuclear fallout, both due to population, and due to proximity of Skynet's first base, there is not much left. Places found here include Los Angeles (in fact, all of Southern California), Seattle, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Many proud nations, most with history much older than America's, now lies in ruins, as proof that no one is safe from Skynet. Even the Swedes have finally fallen in war. Includes places such as Britain, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy.

Northern Asia
Perhaps the most devastated places in the world reside here. China, being the most populated nation on the planet, and Tokyo being the most populated city, are both nearly completely destroyed. Russia, one of the few places with near as many weapons as the US has also been annihilated.
