Blatant advertising of other websites or forums is not allowed, this includes large banners, PMing other members, and making topics advertising your forum/site.
Small 88x31 buttons or a text link in default size in your signature are both allowed.
All links must follow all the language and content rules, if you have to think and debate whether or not it’s inappropriate then it most likely isn't a good site to link to.

Quite possibly the only exception to this rule would be for Moderators and Administrators.

While LoT is a more mature forum and open for viewers usually fourteen plus, we need to keep a restriction on our rules for those few that are younger. Basically, to have a better understanding: Do not post something you don’t want your mum seeing.
Adult language is allowed to an extent. Filters will be put on the sharper words, but remember to use your discretion!!
Sexual references are not allowed. At the most,a bit of playfulness is allowed, just remember that this is not your cybering forum to fulfill your sick desires.
Violence is allowed to an extent, just nothing too graphic, and no killing other characters, obviously. Killing enemy NPCs is allowed.

All requests must abide by our rules as well, no sexual content, no over use of cursing, etc etc.
RPGs and Forums should have at least 150 65+ members and 3000 2500+ posts.
No marquees, scroll bars, or links to an affiliate page, please.
If we choose not to affiliate with you, don't worry! It's nothing personal! We just seek forums and sites that are similar in content, and if yours is, try and set a better posting goal for your members. We also like our button to be on your front page, we do it for you, so return the favor. ;]

Signature and avatars must follow the language and content rules, as usual, use discretion.
Signature images must be no larger than 500pxW by 150pxH. Please don't abuse this, if we believe that you are and that your sig is too distractingly big from buttons, text and so forth, it will be removed.
Avatars must be no larger than 100pxW by 100pxH.
Avatars will resize themselves to 100x100 automatically, you’ve been warned.
Any oversized signatures will be replaced without warning.

Trolling and Flaming are completely unacceptable, it’s immature and will not be tolerated here.
Trolling is picking fights with another member, Flaming is making malicious, hurtful, or annoying comments about something or someone—So don’t do either.
If you have any complaints, feel free to PM a Staff Member, just remember to keep it short and simple with a link to the post, or a forwarded PM.
godmodding
abusing another's character
Godmodding is also known as powerplaying, otherwise basically considered taking control of a character that isn’t your own.
There’s a huge difference between doing this to move the RP along, and just plain abusing it. It should used with caution and with the other person’s permission.
When fighting against another character or enemy, you must give them the chance to dodge or attack, and vise-versa.

Complaining or fighting with the staff because you aren’t getting your way will get you nowhere.
if you having a problem with someone or something, PM one of the Administrators or Moderators politely, and the proper action will be executed.
Do not PM us saying our rules are unfair, or that you dislike the site. If you believe so, then why are you here?
..Please, for the sake of all that is righteous and holy, don't bombard just one admin or mod with all of your questions. Vary between one or two, because sending all questions to one of them will drive us mad. ]:
