General Gossip #1 no need to run, and hide -- we know all about your life.
Welcome to the first of many rumour threads, do enjoy. Remember to read the guidelines pinned in the Madge Says forum, and keep in mind that you may reference this information at any time in your posts. Narrie is, after all, a very small town - and if you don't know everyone's business, you don't know much at all!
Spotted.
Alan Burdett heading out of a healers clinic on Olympic Ave, and into the gym on Tallygarunga Road. Looks like someone's keen to be around a little longer! Isn't it amazing what children can do? Or has our favourite headmaster got himself another reason to tone up?
Looks like serial staff member Adele DeVylissea has worked her way back into the staffroom, as assistant librarian. But since when did that woman assist on anything? She's not one to be anything less than the top dog, and mark my words - there'll be trouble if she doesn't get her way! Hopefully the hunky new librarian Liam Ford can keep her under control, although we might have to ponder the future of poor Kellan Miles. Trouble so soon? And here I thought 'The Tramp and the Gay' was a tale of everlasting love! We'll wait and see what that dangerous ex-auror has to do about all this!
Looks like Deputy Headmistress and Herbology Professor Cora Manere just isn't the same anymore in the eyes of Alan Burdett now that she's no longer available for fantasies. She was seen leaving the school the past few nights dejected and forlorn. Understand she's informed her co-deputy that she's not doing anymore staff position interviews. Trouble amongst friends?
A disheveled Leopold Payton of Spencer House was seen exiting the changing rooms on the Tallygarunga Quidditch Pitch. Could the fearless chaser have been up to mischief? Perhaps steaming up the mirrors with a secret someone? When questioned by a bistander the seventeen year old denied the rumours, claiming, "I was just tidying up after a bit of practice"
It seems like a certain professor of Ancient Runes is developing a following if the fact that Rowan Dragonsinger was in Melbourne in the company of a rather dashing new Auror from Russia is true. But what about Nathan Durham and the time she spends with him. Perhaps she needs a scheduling secretary?
Everyone knows the story of Marcus the Caretaker, cursed by his own father to never step foot off the schools soil. What is the subject of interest is just who this father was, and what powers he must have had to create such a strong curse. Intriguing it is that poor Marcus is so useless at magic, could it be that his father is just embarrassed at having a squib for a son, and hidden it by forcing him to attend Tally? or is it the fault of his mother who ran away so long ago? Some even consider the possibility that Marcus is simply hiding his talents in order to remain at the school he loves.

Return from Taiwan
After promptly leaving Tallygarunga for reasons unexplained by either herself or Tallygarunga staff, Stephanie returned recently in late March, apparently having been formally excused from her academic requirements for the duration of her absence. The nature of her absence is still not confirmed; the habitual scowl on Stephanie's face seemed to indicate a thing or two, as well as ward off most of the curious crowd wondering where Stephanie had been for the past three weeks. Those who did ask, however, received a rather vague, alien answer in Japanese; as no one present understood the language, and Stephanie had retreated back to her dorm before a request for English could be made, the answer remains unsolved.
...In possibly related news, Sogo's stocks in Taiwan have been going up since a week ago by 7.6, a stark contrast to the island nation's currently plummeting economy. Coincidence, anyone?

It's taken a little while but it appears that Tallygarunga finally has a new librarian. Straight out of the Ministry, is he really all that he seems to be? Rumors abound about his departure from the Ministry. Did he really retire or are their other, more sinister reasons for his leaving? Or is the Ministry attempting to sneak one of their agents into the school under false pretenses? Only Mr. Ford knows and he's not being very up front about any of it.
