Serial rapists vow to kill cops By: Paul M. Gutierrez THERE’S a time to rape, a time to rob, a time to kill. With this dark conviction, three suspected serial rapists have reportedly marked their victims and cops for death. For sending them to jail, the suspects have mentally vowed to mangle and mutilate their targets slowly, torturously and without mercy. When the evil hour comes. The three suspects, who were arrested by Cabuyao police last March 30, allegedly vowed to wipe out ‘one by one’ those behind their arrest, including their victims. “Siguraduhin daw namin na ‘di na sila makakalabas, otherwise, iisa-isahin daw kami. Pati nga ‘yung ni-rape nila, ganun din ang banta nila,” Cabuyao police chief, Supt. Bernie Banalo, told People’s Tonight. Rodolfo ‘Rod Bolitas’ Matienzo de Guzman, 26; Russel Mateo Nunez, 37; and Joel Garcena Galicia, 28, all residents of Southville, Bgy. San Isidro, were collared just minutes after allegedly feasting on their latest victim, Rhea, a 29-year old factory worker in Bgy. Gulod, after robbing her of P500. Banalo said PO1 Akdhar Jailani and PO1 John Ferrancullo were patrolling Bgy. Gulod when Rhea, who was inside the tricycle of Nuñez and with De Guzman pretending to be her husband, suddenly jumped out of the vehicle and hugged one of the cops. Nuñez and De Guzman yielded two homemade shotguns with ammunition and a fragmentation grenade. Galicia was arrested after Nuñez squealed on him. The terror trio were also believed to have raped on August 2 a certain ‘Gemma,’ a 36-year old married woman. The victim was later forced to abort the five-month old child seeded in her by one of the suspects. Gemma also lost her motorcycle to the suspects. Shortly after their arrest, De Guzman claimed to be a construction worker while Nuñez and Galicia said they were tricycle drivers. Aside from Gemma and Rhea, Banalo said they have reasons to suspect that the trio or any one of them raped a certain Josie, 29, a returning contract worker on Feb. 3, and Marie, a 35-year-old nurse, on March 25. The suspects were also believed to have killed tricycle driver, Folicarpio Hipit Kapitbahay, also on Feb. 3. Kapitbahay was found with his throat slit and several stab wounds. While under interrogation, the group allegedly snarled to the police and Marie to make sure they stay in jail for good. Otherwise, they would exact their revenge. PO1 Hilda Magtagad Cortez, head of the Cabuyao Child and Women’s Protection Desk, said one of the suspect’s fetish, especially De Guzman, is to force their victims to perform oral sex on him. “Gusto niya ‘yung bino-blow job siya ng biktima,” Cortez said, adding “May bolitas kasi sa ari itong si de Guzman at ‘yun ang hindi makalimutan ng kanilang mga biktima kaya positive identification agad sila kay Marie at Rhea,” Cortez said. Galicia ’s family, however, insisted he is innocent. “Natutulog sa bahay ang anak ko nang basta na lang siya hulihin ng mga pulis. Wala siyang kasalanan,” his mother, Purita, told People’s Tonight. His wife and brother in law chorused: “Galing siya sa inuman, sa birthday at tulog na tulog nang basta na lang hulihin ng mga pulis.” |
