Appearance: A little on the short side at 5'2" Jalila prefers the term concentrated, she's a lot of woman in a smaller package, all wiry muscle and determination. She might be vertically challenged but the girl is anything but fragile. She's a little flat chested but her hips are already telling she won't need much bosom to be considered feminine. Jalila bounces when she walks and always stands slightly on her toes. It makes her seem eager and bubbly but is in fact a result of a slightly shortened achilles tendon, it doesn't interfere with her in any way and seems to help her in fact. She sure footed and doesn't tire easily, and her footfall is exceptionally light making it seem like she appears out of nowhere at times.

Much time spent out of doors both farming and working with animals has tanned her rosy cheeks, the phrase brown as a berry seems tailor made to fit Jalila. Her hair is brown with sun bleached highlights, and has stormy greenish-grey eyes set in a rounded face. She has adorable little dimples and a beauty spot above her lip, but her dainty up turned nose is slightly crooked and her pouty little lips have a thin scar on the bottom left. Both evidence of her hands on, no holds barred approach to living.

Personality: Jalila was from an early age a very quiet and serious little person, prefering the company of grown ups to that of her peers. She seems to have been rather affected by her fathers moods having been the only child for the first few years of her life.
Of course Jalila isn't nearly so dour as that really, she just isn't frivolously giddy, she is quietly cheerful and content as long as she has something to do to keep occupied. Industrious, and responsible most of the time she does well taking care of children and animals alike, her quiet straightforward way of dealing with things going a long way to calm beasts that are usually difficult to work with.
The trouble with Jalila is that she can't stand to pass up a challenge, and if she isn't kept busy she will actively seek out new challenges for herself, pretty much all the trouble she has gotten into in her life has been because of this. She also has a stubborn streak and never backs down from anything. This can make her seem quarrelsome some times and at others irredeemably lazy since she prefers to do any task she is set to thoroughly, and at her own pace.

Biography: Jalila grew up in a cothold not far from Sylvan that focused primarily on farming and raising wherries, and being slightly lower in the foothills and closer to the sea than the Hold the climate there was just slightly more temperate. Her mother Leeo was a birthing woman who had started off as a healer but found the structure in that craft not to her taste. She dropped it after making journeyman, and returned to the cothold she had been raised in and married. Genel, Jalilas father, is a former blue rider, a very dour sort, and it was just as well that Leeo was such a sunny personality. Otherwise the household would have been grey as ashes all the time. Of course losing ones dragon isn't something that you get over, but he got along with life in his own solemn way. He always was a worker and he passed that along to the kids and the family flourished.
Jalila is the oldest of five children, three girls and two boys, and she spent a better part of her time helping to raise them. Because even though her mother was good with kids her father never really had the patience for all that whimsy and childish nonsense, even after he mellowed a bit and found his fire lizard. Her life was pretty typical growing up really, following the growth of plant and animals and the changing of the seasons. Not everyone can live a life of excitment and danger but shells, she did try.

Very little broke the monotony of the place, occasionally she would shake things up, breaking a wherry doe to ride; which wasn't very useful and resulted in her getting a broken nose and the stupid bird being roasted on a spit. Racing the family Runner pony against the local boys to prove that she was so just as good. Or trying her hand in various crafts but quitting when she deemed them "too easy". She found a green flitter clutch two turns back during a drought, it was resting haphazardly in the sandy bottom of a dried creek bed. Luckily she found it before anything ate the eggs, though only two of them hatched, a green her mother impressed and her own dear blue. Her father was dead against it, until he realized that the flitters favorite sport was hunting the tree hoppers that kept wrecking the orchard, and that three of them working at it was more effective than just his brown. But the monotony is starting to tell on Jalila once more, and she's taken to going far afield to look for wild berries at any chance she gets in the hopes of finding some excitement... lets hope that excitement doesn't come in the form of a Wildcat or a Slasher.

So, the character herself is not that bad. In fact, she looks rather interesting. I am seeing several run-on sentences, though, and want you to go through and fix them. It will make the whole application look much neater!
