Some of these are in the general rules as well, but I want to make sure it’s understood, so please forgive my redundancy. A copy of this will also be in the character creation board.
1. Register your account with your character’s full name before posting their profile.
2. You must register a new account for each character; this cuts back on confusion.
3. Use the format provided, please. It’s there for a reason, after all.
4. If you would like to play one of the cannon roles we have available, then by all means, do so. We’ve left most of the character creation up to you and just outlined a few vital statistics. If you disagree with one of them, go ahead and PM us and we’ll see if we can work it out.
5. This is not a historically accurate site. It’s pretty much impossible to do that, unless we wanted all the female characters to do nothing but wash clothes and have babies all day long. We are going to let women fill a few roles that, in reality, they wouldn’t have been given, but we’re going to keep a limit on this. It’s first come, first serve.
6. In regards to playing a prostitute: we know prostitution was a big business back then, and we’re going to allow so-called ‘women of the night’ on the site. That being said, if you wish to play one you must play another character first, and have that character established (at least 20 posts). We reserve the right to put a cap on the number of prostitutes on the site.
7. Try to make your characters as thought-out and well-rounded as possible. Not everyone’s perfect, and while your character might the biggest badass around, he still probably has fears, doubts, and insecurities. No one is perfect. We don’t want this to be a Mary-Sue fest.
8. After you post your profile, please be patient for us to either accept, deny, or critique it. We’re very busy, but we’ll try to get to it as soon as possible.
9. We will try to give you as much constructive criticism as possible if we choose not to initially accept your character, so that you can work on the profile and get it up to our standards. However, if we feel that your writing skills are not up to par with what we expect on our site, we’re just going to deny it.
10. Do not try and argue with us if we deny your profile based on your rp skills. No amount of whining is going to make it better. Accept our decision gracefully, and move on.
11. Once we have accepted your profile, we will move it into the accepted character profiles board and you are free to being roleplaying.
