WELCOME
The world is heading for change.
It's the year 1880, and things have never moved faster. For the bulk of it's existence Sweetwater has been immune to the change that has struck the north and descended onto Dallas. Nestled deep back into the Texas Hill Country on the banks of Sweetwater river, the valley keeps things slow and the bulk of industrialization at bay hiding off a little peace of heaven from what would be the grinding gears of process. Ask anyone in the area and they'll tell ya. There ain't no place like Sweetwater and there ain't no prettier land in Texas.

Join us here in Sweetwater where the booze never stops, and the change keeps rolling. Join as a canon or an original if they more suits your fancy. When things head west- you can always be certain- there's going to be hell to pay.

Seeing as how we’re all human and all have our own varying opinions, it makes sense that from time to time a situation might arise in which there is a disagreement between two players, or a player and the administrator. It just happens. Be that as it may, we have set up guidelines for going about dealing with any disputes that may arise.

We want things to run as smoothly as possible; that’s why this is here. So please follow the guidelines we have laid out, and have a good time.

Disputes between 2 players

On previous sites whenever two players have disagreed over something, they have come running right to the Admins to sort it out. We want to help you; that’s what we’re here for, but at the same time we are busy trying to keep the site in order, as well as keeping up with our own characters.

Unless a direct rule has been broken, or when something is out of context of the general storyline of the site (someone drives a car into town, for example), please follow these rules to resolve it.

1. Send a PM to the player you have a disagreement with and clearly spell out what you have a problem with. Be nice about it. The no flaming rule applies to personal messages as well.

2. Wait for them to reply. Just because you don’t get an answer within the hour does not mean you need to come running to us.

3. Listen to their opinions, and hopefully the two of you can resolve whatever the problem is.

4. If this does not work and you need someone to make a final decision, that is the time to get an administrator involved. Please forward the entire message to the administrator account.

5. Do not post anything related to your dispute on the board. I cannot stress this enough. Whatever is going on is between you two alone, and we do not want to see anyone else’s opinion get thrown into the mix.

Disputes between a player and an administrator

We want to hear your suggestions and concerns; it helps us to make the site better. At the same time, however, we too are only human.

1. Do not be rude. It certainly will not help you get your way; in fact, it may do the exact opposite and we will be less inclined to address your problem.

2. Send a PM to the admin account and tell us what the problem is. Do NOT discuss it on the board, do NOT discuss it in the C-box. Do not get your friends involved and have them PM us on your behalf (friends, don’t jump to conclusions and think they need your help).

3. We will make a decision as soon as possible and get back to you.

Any member who gets others involved in their dispute, or involves themselves in a dispute that does not concern them, will be suspended for 2 days. Simply put, it is none of your business, so stay out of it.
