WELCOME
The world is heading for change.
It's the year 1880, and things have never moved faster. For the bulk of it's existence Sweetwater has been immune to the change that has struck the north and descended onto Dallas. Nestled deep back into the Texas Hill Country on the banks of Sweetwater river, the valley keeps things slow and the bulk of industrialization at bay hiding off a little peace of heaven from what would be the grinding gears of process. Ask anyone in the area and they'll tell ya. There ain't no place like Sweetwater and there ain't no prettier land in Texas.

Join us here in Sweetwater where the booze never stops, and the change keeps rolling. Join as a canon or an original if they more suits your fancy. When things head west- you can always be certain- there's going to be hell to pay.

&& Sweetwater River & Falls
If you're looking for breathtaking beauty, there's no better place to go than the river. Water flows gently over the riverbed all year round, the Falls giving the river's flow an extra boost of speed further downstream. The crossing bridge is located just above the falls. Make no mistake, though; while the river is beautiful, it can also be deadly, especially when it rains heavily and the river is swollen with rain runoff.

&& Sweetwater Valley
Luscious green landscape surrounds the town of Sweetwater, with rolling hills as far as the eye can see. The river cuts almost right down the center of the valley, with the town on one side and the Buckley Ranch on the other. Wide open spaces, fresh air...what else could you need? Come out here to get away for a bit, maybe go for a ride...just get lost.

&& Buckley Cattle Ranch
Mr. Buckley is easily the largest landholder in the area. His land encompasses nearly half of the valley, and for most of the year his cattle roam freely on the property. During the calving season any extra help is welcomed. Years ago in the Spring they would drive the cattle out of the valley and up north to be sold, but since the rail station was built the animals are shipped by railroad car.

&& Piney Woods
At the east end of the valley is a forest that the residents simply call "The Piney Woods". The trees are thin right at the edge, as the town gets most of it's timber from this area, but further in the forest is very dense. Unless you are very familiar with the area, it's not wise to wander in here alone. It's easy to get turned around.

&& The Old Britton Homestead & Abandoned Mine
Now abandoned, this homestead was settled by Grace Britton's grandfather near the edge of the woods back up against one of the hills in the valley. He mined the hill until a partial cave in killed him, and the land, house, and mine passed to Grace's father, Walter. He lived here with his family until Grace's mother, Amelia, died when she was 13, and then it was abandoned. Over the years the forest has reclaimed it, hiding it away from view, making it a perfect hideout for anyone who does not want to be found.
