Saloon One of the most popular spots in Sweetwater, the saloon is the perfect place to come if you're a bit thirsty or perhaps seeking a bit of company. There's nightly entertainment from the local piano man or one of their singing barmaids. Things can get a bit rowdy at times, though, so it's best to keep on your toes.

Sheriff's Office & Jail While it might be a bit unorthodox -- perhaps even somewhat scandalous -- for a town to have a female Sheriff, no one can deny that Grace Britton does her job, and does it well. You can normally find her here at all hours, seeing as she lives in an apartment above the jail. The jail itself is sturdy and well-kept, not that it's a place you'd like to find yourself, at any rate.

General Store & Post Office Almost all of your needed supplies can be found here, and if can't find what you're looking for, chances are the owners can order it for you. During the spring planting season they have all the seeds you could need, and in the winter they stock enough supplies to keep the town going through the winter frost. The Post Office is also located here.

Town Hall Sweetwater Town Hall is a municipal building and meeting space used for a variety of purposes. Town meetings, trials, and even the occasional wedding reception are held here. The Mayor's office is located in this building as well.

Clinic Sweetwater is a good four hour's ride from the nearest full hospital, but it's clinic is well enough equipped to deal with almost all but the most life-threatening injuries & illnesses. The doctor is on-call 24 hours a day for consultations regarding everything from a child's cough to a gunshot wound...not that we have many of those here in Sweetwater.

Hotel [First with the Most] A large, ancient, hand painted sign hangs above the swinging double doors proclaiming the establishment's name: "First With The Most" in large letters; and below that: "Rooms and Likker." Most folks just call it "the First." A smaller sign hangs next to the door with a less friendly message: "No Injuns, No Mexicuns and No Yankees." This place has been here a long time, as has its proprietor, Sarge Chalmers. Come on in for some home made Red Eye or to swap a yarn. Stay the night, too, the rooms are small but clean.

Boarding House The boarding house is fairly quiet and well-kept, located on the edge of the town square close to the river. The residents who live here generally look out for each other. though of course there's always bound to be a sour apple or two in the bunch. The manager of the boarding house is uncommonly fair and caring as well.

Rail Station The Railroad Depot is located at the far end of town, and is mainly used to bring in supplies as well as the town's mail. Occasionally there will be a visitor or two that come to see the Falls, or engage in some various business dealings, most likely up at the Buckley Ranch, but these are few and far between.

Church This small one-room building is normally packed come Sunday morning, so if you want a good seat you'd better get here early. Afterwards it's not uncommon for residents to gather on the lawn for a bit of socializing. The church also functions as a school during the weekdays.

Cemetary Located directly behind the Church, Sweetwater's local cemetery is peaceful and well-maintained. The graves date back all the way to the town's founding, with more recent graves being placed near the front. There are a few trees planted around the outer perimeter, and overall the cemetery is a quiet place for friends and family of the deceased to go and grieve, and remember.

Blacksmith's Shop Did your horse throw a shoe, or do you need something fabricated out of metal? The local Blacksmith can help you out. He's an expert at forging iron or steel, and is always glad to lend you a hand...for a price, of course.

Mayor's House The large brick home next to the Town Hall has traditionally been the Mayor's residence, dating back several generations. Currently William Reynolds resides here in quiet, understated luxury. The furnishings are elegant and tasteful, and the house features a special guest wing for visiting VIP's.

Brothel Prostitution is a booming business in this era, and even Sweetwater is not free from this vice. The brothel operates on the very edge of town. The women who work here typically live in the house and receive a small salary, as well as free room & board. Many of the townspeople frown upon the business, and so visits are normally conducted in secret.
