"TSC members are more active in the night and early morning hours. Most enjoy ice cream sandwiches and pocky. Their diet may also include other members due to noming, licking and the occasional biting. Their general pass time include posting in threads, poking and glomping each other, many become bored quite easily, resulting in questionable things, usually due to extreme boredom or impatience. Their language consists of slang and improper use of words, and very little care to grammar, spelling and thinking outside of posts. The ones in charge, know as admins, keep the members and habitat in order. Nothing happens here without them knowing. Ok, well almost nothing. One can never be to sure what is going to happen here. the c-box is the most unpredictable place here on TSC, but the threads can be just as unpredictable."

Role Playing Rules and Etiquette, Read this. It's important.

Role playing is a simple concept, but I will be happy to explain to those who wish to understand.

In short, role playing is exactly the way it sounds. You take a role, and you play it! You act as another person or character. This is done in specific role plays on the board, on a post by post basis.

This board focuses specifically on superhuman role playing (for example, the kind of heroes and villains one might find in a comic book). The exact plot, and other such things regarding the setting, are still being thought up and debated over, but will be completed in due time.

Some rules regarding role playing in our site are as follows:

1. Do not powerplay. Powerplaying is when a character becomes all-powerful in a role play, and ends up doing whatever they want, whether or not it is within their general ability. We don't want this, and such things can be easily avoided when ideas are planned beforehand in any role play.

2. Do not godmode. Godmoding is when someone takes over the character of another, making them act without the consent of the person who is actually playing them. Try your best not to control other people's characters. If you have to, do it to the least degree. Please do not say what another person's character is thinking or feeling in your post.

3. Any kind of hero, villain, et cetera, is acceptable around here. I will not allow anything that directly copies any existing comic book hero, villain or character from any other movie, work of literature, etc. Please be original, otherwise the concept of an original universe will become useless.

4. Please note that all characters must be approved before they are role play-able. If they are deemed stupid, unbalancing, not detailed enough or anything else that might make them unqualified, then they will be denied.

5. I'm also going to make it clear that, due to reasons regarding powers and originality, I will only allow up to four characters per member. For storyline reasons, all Moderators and Administrators are exempt from this rule.

There is more information that will be added in the future, but this seems like enough for the moment. Plot lines, a universe post, and other such stuff will be added soon. For now, enjoy yourselves! We do want everyone to have fun around here. smile.gif

A note on conventions to be used for role playing purposes.

I suggest the use of quotes ("") for speech. Asterisks (**) for inner monolog and thoughts. And tildas (~~) for mental commuications.

If you prefer a cleaner presentation, there's always:
"speech" -bold, with quotes
thoughts -italic
"mental communications" -italic, with quotes

Lose your mind
You will leave the flesh dimensions behind
Sanity can be the toll
Of heeding the call of one's soul.
