Okay, I know we're all excited about Brawl. Well, they've been doing updates on the website recently showing things from in the game.
The most recent one shown today was the fact that

all kinds of control will be implemented. So, now I don't have to go searching for a last Gamecube controller (I never bought a 4th one).
Now, if you want to see the other updates, check out
the site yourself.--------------------------------------
I've also created a controller layout that I, personally, would like to see in the game. So uh, here it is.
Remember that
these controller layouts are not confrimed for Brawl, these are my own creation. With that, I begin.
Wii Remote (Sideways):The Wii Remote doesn't have many buttons (it only has four usuable ones for play, really), so it'll be real interesting how Nintendo does this. Regardless, I'm giving it a try as well.
D-Pad- Move, jump
A - Jump
B - Jump
Minus (-) - Taunt
Plus (+) - Pause
1 - Use special moves
(+ Control Stick) - Use additional special moves
2 - Use standard attacks.
(+ Control Stick) - Use smash attacks.
Shake the controller when next to an enemy to grab onto them, then fling it in the direction you want to send them to send them flying. Turn it completely over (buttons facing down) to put your shield on.
Wii Remote + Nunchuck:I would still love to have them in the game and can think of some interesting ways to play. The Wii Remote doesn't have many buttons because it's focused on movement but implementing movement in Brawl would be kind of hard. Because of this, there are some holes as to where things would go. I tried my best to fill them.
Control Stick - Move, jump
A - Use standard attacks.
(+ Control Stick) - Use smash attacks.
B - Use special moves
(+ Control Stick) - Use additional special moves
D-Pad - No Use
Minus (-) - Taunt
Plus (+) - Pause
1 - No use
2 - No use
Z - Jump
C - Shield/Grab an Enemy
(+ A) - Attack
When grabbing an enemy, flick the Wii Remote up, down, left, or right, to throw your opponent in the respective direction.
Classic Controller:The Gamecube controller and the Classic controller are very similar, so it will be nice not to have to buy a whole extra controller to play when you have an extra one right there!
D-Pad - Move, jump
Left control stick - Move, jump
Right control stick - Use smash attacks
Minus (-) - Taunt
Plus (+) - Pause
A - Use standard attacks
(+ D-Pad or Control Stick) - Use smash attacks
B - Use special moves
(+ D-Pad or Control Stick) - Use additional special moves
X - Jump
Y - Jump
Z (left and right) - Grab an Enemy
L - Shield
(+ A) - Grab an enemy
R - Shield
(+ A) - Grab an enemy
Gamecube ControllerWell, the Gamecube controller has been confirmed and we all know how good Brawl is going to be just because of that. While this is the exact same layout as Melee, I'm going to post it for comparison purposes.
Control stick - Move, jump
D-Pad (Up) - Taunt
C Stick - Use smash attacks
Start - Pause
A - Use standard attacks
(+ D-Pad or Control Stick) - Use smash attacks
B - Use special moves
(+ D-Pad or Control Stick) - Use additional special moves
X - Jump
Y - Jump
Z - Grab an enemy
L - Shield
(+ A) - Grab an enemy
R - Shield
(+ A) - Grab an enemy
----------------------------------------------
So, yeah, that's about it. How excited are y'all for Brawl?
