Apearance - Xanth is mainly a creamish-brown in colour, but like every wolf his back is darker than his belly, no? Climbing up his back is a darker shade of brown, sometimes, rareley, flecked with auburn or blacks. He isn't too dark, just a nice, fairly dark shade of brown.

Sliding back down to his flanks, the colours seemed to almost melt into each other, forming a caramal-like creamy-aubern-brown. Then, trickling down his legs a more definable vibrant peachy-cream was visible, lightening more as it crawled down to his paws, the bottom halves of his muzzle and tail and his belly, which then stretched to the inside of each of his limbs.

His warm amber eyes are rimmed in heavy black, followed by the same colour that enhances his body.

Previously, it would be common to catch Xanth strutting around in a dominant posture, with his tail raised over his head, but now he can controll his mood swings. His default stance is relaxed and calm; no longer is he aggressive to this extent.

Xanth is slightly overweight, due to him once being the only male in his litter, very large and also dominant and demanding for the first share of food. Because of this, he is, as you may have guessed, a pretty slow runner. Speed is one of his weaknesses and never will be a strength, even if he was to loose weight.

Stamina and strength are different though; his endurance level is only slightly higher than the average rate, but under his thick layer of fat in muscle, and once he has you pinned down he has already won the battle. It's hard to get out from under him, so only agile wolves escape from him and his anger.

Personality - If I was writing this less than a year ago in the roleplay's time, I could use many negative adjectives to describe Xanth. He was mean, demeaning, dominant, argumentative, physically argumentative; you can guess.
He would be the spoilt male of the pack, completeley fixed on becoming alpha of the Valr pack, and planning everything he would change about his home.

But things were hectic then, and everyone acted hyper and over-the-top. But then, everything fell apart. They had to run to save themselves, their lives were at stake, and Xanth calmed in his year of solitude. Perhaps the death of his whole family did some good to him.

He never really did mourn the loss of his sisters, and not much of his mother's end, but it gave him space and time to think. He no longer had anyone to push around to to be pushed around by. he accepted he was not leader, because nobody followed his lead, and he was left to his own recources.

He is calm now; he can controll his feelings, whether is it anger, sadness or even love. He is not afraid to let others know of his current emotion, but no longer will Xanth make a big thing out of everything. He has really changed.

But, although he no longer starts conflicts with another, if he is resented with a challenge he will defend his side of the story. He does not believe it to be a good thing to do if you wish to keep your pride and dignity to back down like a coyote.

History - Xanth was born alongside his two sisters, Ponster and Karma, to the Valr pack. All three of them were pack heirs, but never did they get the chance to quarrel over who would lead this pack, branded to fail, destined to die.
His mother was Kay-lie, alpha female. she did not have alpha blood, she was born to the betas, and was chosen mate by the only other wolf her age who took on position of alpha; Shurin.
By the age of three months, Xanth's father had died, due to a famine, and many other pack members slowly drifted away. By the time he and his sisters were of eight months, only the three and their mother remain.

But Kay-lie was not going to back down from the dreadful thruth that this pack was not going to survive. She seeked pack members, and pack members she got. For a while, the family flourished and gained health, and Kay-lie even got a new mate. But as soon as she did, it seemed that the wolves were leaving once again, and Xanth wasn't too fond of his step-father, Hade, either.

Magpie came into the land, and a female called Narukia saved her from her death. Narukia was the wolf who cursed his furutre lands, but she was always far from his mind, although he tended to be often found in hers.
Magpie formed a hatred with many of the pack's members, including his mother. For that, Xanth disliked her very much also. She teased him and she was rude. It did not take long for a fight to take place.

She had come into his future lands to try and kick Kay-lie out, to his knowledge, but he was infuriated. Leaping to her, they locked in combat, and the thought of loosing to a much smaller female makes him cringe even today. He lost vision in his left eye because of her. Shame built in his stomach and he ran away to the deepest, darkest and grayest part of the forest he could find. Word came to him of the tension building, and he soon began to smell Magpie and her newly-found mate, Luminescence Blanche, surrounding his home. They had claimed territory and were building their own pack.

On a day out to explore, he stumbled across Magpie abusing his mother and step-father. They were bleeding and nearly dead, and once again, Xanth attacked. Only this time he got her by surprise. An eye for an ear is what he now goes for, and Magpie no longer has her right ear because of that fight. The day he amputated her ear was the day he realized he loved her.

Kay-lie and Hade survived for a few days, and his mother gave birth to his half-siblings; Tyrisi and Alumice, male and female. She and her mate died when they were old enough to walk and eat meat, and Xanth was now their gaurdian. they left their homelands and lived with him.

Magpie and Luminescence were having a rocky relationship, and in time it broke down. She half moved in with Xanth, coming every so often to help him look after his siblings. She was now pregnant with his pups.
Then a wildfire spread. Everyone fled from the lands of Starryfield, and slowly he returned, alone. His brother and sister he had lost, along with Magpie and his pups.

He was re-united with Magpie soon after he returned, but he then caught glimpse of a wolf he did not know. A wolf with wings. A wolf who was magical, but Magpie did not see it. She reassured him nothing was wrong, and he accepted it and met his believed daughter, Khyuu.

He got separated from everyone once again, but he refuses to leave his land. Maybe, one day, the Valr pack will return.

Breed - Gray plains wolf x timber wolf
Size - Large and chubby, about 38" shoulder ehgiht. One of the tallest of the group.
