At the great Cheebs smart suggestion, I've finally created a thread for recruiting QCers.

QCers are in charge of checking the edits before they are released. They check if the translations make sense and for grammar mistakes or typos, so need good English. They check if the cleans are good such as the leveling, redrawing, and cloning. They also check if the typesetting looks good and isn't off centered or looks weird.

The best benefit of being a QCer is that you get to read chapters before they're released.

Since we get both PNGs and PSDs to QC, QCers will need to be able to both point out what needs to be fixed with PNGs and be able to fix it themselves with PSDs.

You'll need to be an EXPERIENCED QCER OR EXPERIENCED EDITOR to apply because that way you'll have the eye to pick up any fixes quickly.

We could use QCers for the following projects
Akatsuki no Aria
Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu
Fushigi na Chikara de
Galism ~Love Supreme Sisters~
Otokonoko Zukan

To apply, email st4r_lights[at]yahoo[dot]com your experience and what series you'd like to QC, then I'll email you some test pages. If you're interested in a project that is not listed above, email your experience and I'll see if it'll be possible.

Help is welcome!! Cheebs and I can't QC everything quickly enough by ourselves and I can't keep harassing our poor editors for help.

How do you QC??

You check for any mistakes that the editor or the proofreader might have missed. Like dust, cloning, fluidity of the sentences and grammar. :]

There are 3 problems that i need to ask. First is that could i QC for Fly High? Second is, if i suck at fixing the scans by myself, do i get disqualified? Third is, If you only had tried tests (like a lot), but haven't been in a scanslation group, do i get disqualified?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. It was a busy week.

To answer your questions:
1. Fly High will be finished soon, so we wouldn't change the staff now, there's plenty of other projects we need help for though.
2. A QCer should be able to fix the scans themselves, that's why it's handy if you have some editing experiences already.
3. Having been in a scanlation group before is not the most important thing, if you have previous Photoshop experiences just show us some of your work (avis, siggies, edited pictures, scans etc.) or take the editor test.
